Would really like to come and meet up with you lot this year. Am on for this on the proviso I can find a half decent hotel when the dates are arranged, allowing me to pawn it off as a short weekend away to my better half. Guess she may enjoy a day shopping in Manchester while I'm nerding it up! Well I am more than willing to help

It seems a bit weird to think of staying in a hotel in Bury as a treat for the family for me, staying over costs extra WAF points too...

Loads to do in Manchester which isn't far from Bury, chill factor, Trafford centre. If you book a village hotel they have a swimming pool etc. Make a weekend off it.

Bolholt is nice too but i don't know how much it is, i think its more of a wedding venue

Regrettably I've not been able to make any of the forum meets to date, and with a baby due within 2 months that might not change - but I think the venue is a great suggestion that means less carting stuff around for members and use/support of a great retro gaming facility.

Hey guys and girls, just to let you know I haven't forgotten about this, unfortunately work has been frantic and will be for the next 2-3 months. I was also supposed to be going on a supercar driving experience day today, found out yesterday that the company has ceased trading (all the customers, suppliers and staff got the message about the same time), so any spare time has been taken up trying to get the money back.
Any help available on the organisation side would be hugely appreciated

Sort of, it was at oulton but the directors of the driving experience company were also directors of the company that runs the circuit. The circuit itself is owned by Wigan council so it's fate is ultimately down to them

I'm not far from Manchester so don't mind the regular Zoo meet up, this new idea, or both.
I'm usually able to give lifts/help with equipment like previous years.
It might be worth giving it a go. Sometimes a change is as good a rest...
