Even then, Sega didn't shut anything down, it's still out there. They did take it down. Bomber Games disolved, the website was shut down and obviously once something is on the internet it can't be stopped (see all the leaks and stuff) but it did stop further development of that game, Bomber Games had a roadmap with new features to be added and other things from the community they wanted to make and obviously that was stopped dead in its tracks thanks to Sega going haywire. I mean, sure, you can hope for the best but from what i know and learned (working in the game industry, no bragging just saying that it's a cutthroat like industry even on the indy level) the "better to be safe than sorry" saying totally applies to anything, so either you directly ask Sega if they are ok with that, apply for the license or rename everything a bit to avoid any copyright infringement claims. It's not like that Duke Nukem MS game where currently nobody even knows who really owns the rights to Duke Nukem and to what type of game so that one slipped under the radar while Gearbox, 3D Realms (the original company and the current holders of that name) and other companies are entangled in a bitter war (see the removement of the Megaton Edition from all stores)

Regardless of what it's called I'm excited. For me there were not enough decent Alex Kidd games released back in the day.

As my 8 year old would say - 'this will be epic!'
Im really looking forward to this, we are spoilt this year with this and a couple of wonderboy games being released on newer platforms.
I completed AKIMW the day I got it, I dont think I moved for 16 hours lol.. Always good to see an old game revamped. Wonderboy in monsterland next? ;-)

Took awhile but I finally finished it! What a great game it is, I had loads of fun playing it. If it wasn't for the continues I would have had no chance lol. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this awesome project! There's hardly any new SMS games available so this is very much appreciated

I know it's only a minor thing but I'm glad it's button 1 punch & 2 jump , I was playing the original on cartridge few weeks back and it just didn't sit well with me the other way round ,

Omfg.!?!. Are you kidding me, I never knew the built in version has switched button controls...does that apply to US SMS2's as well? I guess I could fire mine up and see. I rarely use it. If I play AKMW it's always been on cart, all my life.

Can only assume it will apply to US consoles too, can't see why they would stick to the alternative and IMO more inconvenient layout.
