Here there people. I just recently bought a copy of Galaxy Force and had a few games of it. I'd played it a little in the past and found it quite fun this time when I play it. Pretty fast moving and some fun challenges along the different scenes. I quite like the fiery planet. I also noticed the game seemed very similar to Space Harrier in the appearance of some of the enemies and the 3D into-the-screen movement of course. I know Galaxy Force (and the sequal) was originally an arcade game. I saw a pic of the machine at www.klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=7891Pretty impressive looking. Don't like my chances of finding this game and having a go. I'd also like play the arcade version of Space Harrier some time:-)

yep both the games are pretty similar, but so is afterburner. its just a version of space harrier with a plane as far as i can see. i wonder if alot of these games had alot of the same code involved. I also just like to say that the caverns in galaxy force are just too damn hard. i managed to complete the game though. after alot of tries. oh and have you tried galaxy force 2 on the megadrive bob? its more of the same but is still quite fun.

Yes I knew of Galaxy Force II on the Mega Drive but I missed my chance to buy it unfortuanately (somebody was selling it at a local internet auction). Maybe I'll give it a try. I got a copy of Space Harrier 2 and as it happens that is also very similar to the original and still enjoyable.

Yes they're both good games, altough Galaxy Force got here in videogame magazines really bad reviews and always ratings under 50%. But that was with most of the sms games, except sonic and the disney games nearly all games got ratings between 20 - 50%
Space Harrier is a classic. Would be cool if sega could make a new part.

yeah, i was really mad with the way most magazines bashed SMS games and praised the NES versions as great!?! Sometimes i think the criteria wasn´t the same... Thats something i wondered all the time. Games for Nintendo got allways the best ratings...especially if the games are direct from nintendo or rare. Now i think the mario games for nes & snes were great, but mario 64 for the n64 got in a german mag 98% (the same goes with the donkey kong country games, thats the most overhyped and overrated games ever). And for me that game was just a bad try to convert the 2d gameplay into 3d. And the magazines allways bashed the sega systems especially the sega(mega) cd and later the saturn.
