Having completed my Euro Pal and NA exclusives collections I've turned my attentions towards the Tec Toy exclusives. My question is, should these hacks be treated as 'exclusives'
Brazilian Version European Version Chapolim X Dracula: Em Duelo Assastador Ghost House Game Box Serie Esportes Radicais California Games Geraldinho Teddy Boy Monca no Castelo do Dragao Wonder Boy in Monster Land Sapo Xule O Mestre do Kung Fu Kung Fu Kid Sapo Xule vs Os Invasores do Brejo Psycho Fox Sapo Xule S O S Lagoa Poluida Astro Warrior Turma da Monica em: O Resgate Wonderboy 3 Tv Colosso Asterix and the Secret Mission

I would consider them different enough from the US/Euro releases to justify purchasing them. Good Luck!

I don't think it matters if other people class them as exclusive or not. I would just collect whatver makes you happy/ interests you. I was trying to collect all TecToy games at one point, inc different release variations. I think it's totally mental that Sapo Xule SOS Lagoa Polvida being added to the European 'list' of SMS games on Retro Collect has caused the value to more than quadruple. It makes no sense?! It's as mental as paying extra for the Sonic UPC sticker just because it apparently completes the NTSC list. Just my opinion though, everyone should do what makes them happy

I agree with rupert 100%
Your collection is your hobby for you to enjoy, what makes you happy is the most important thing, and your collection is complete when you say it is.

However I am going for all the Portuguese purples so for that reason and that reason alone I will have to purchase it at some point.

The joy of collecting for me is in the hunt and for that reason I will never complete my collection. The slightest variation is an excuse for me to to purchase something new.

I have this game in my collection but I stumbled across it and it only cost me £1 so in the collection it goes, lol.

I collect CIB 32x games. I also buy repros for it. Granted they aren't official, and some frown on them. But its my collection and I am happy. No matter what anyone says, collect what you want to.

I collect repro's too and can't see how even the purist could complain if your collecting games that were never originally released for that system (Passing repro's off as original would be a big no no for me)

I agree. I bought a NTSC Darxide. Don't think I will ever get a PAL copy, considering it goes $1000+. I know for sure I am getting a repro.
Also I have considered snagging some SMS repros...like Hook for instance. To each their own...I enjoy playing unreleased games on systems. SMS is just awesome in every single way.

For me repro's are a great way of exploring the sms in a way that just wasn't possible back in the day, Playing Superboy 4 on the sms for instance (Mario clone)

I agree. I saw a video for Dr. Hello, and I can say I want to play it. I enjoy Dr. Mario and this looks and sounds better in my opinion!
I really wish I spent more time on the SMS growing up. We had NES and SMS, but the NES was mine. Had I got the SMS personally and not NES, things would have been different.
When all is settled with our hopeful new house and I can get this new job, I will buy a lot more SMS, with repros added to my list as well.
