This group of games has very busy art work. Speedball is some epic artwork, but I'm going with "less is more" here. Air Rescue gets the nod. Although it has tremendous detail when studied closely as described by Centrale in round 1, it doesn't seem "too busy" for me and I can appreciate it without feeling the need to overanalyze it.
There are no bad choices here... I like all these covers. But only one of them ratchets things to the next level of psychotic madness, and that's Speedball. Bloody spikes. A one-eyed demonic skull. And a look of sheer enjoyment on the player's face. This is nuts, and should appeal to lunatics.
I struggled with this group but in the end I just had to with Sonic. I beleive at least 3 of the others are better artistically but that image of Sonic is so iconic for me and brings a lot of memories of drawing him in my school books many times, that exact pose.
i went with sonic, i love the artwork, and it reminds me so much of being 11 years old again ive never seen it before but i almost voted for monica just because of wonderboy in monsterland, then i remembered its not about gameplay
