Isn't that an Australian style manual?
I have a few Ozisoft games with manuals like that.

I have 3 diffrent sonic manuals (see my collection list) but none look like this although 1 is black and white. All my fold out manuals are australian. dont have an ozisoft sonic 1 though. This could be oz but just doesnt say so? or a very early first edition type thing?

All AUS games are marked with the ozisoft logo. I think this is most likely to be a late pack in version rather than early. I know i have not seen one like this before.

why do you surmise it to be late? I agree with it probly not being oz.

Id say a later release is most likely, when the Master System was on its way out, Sega could have been saving on costs.
By the way i dont plan on keeping this for myself so if anyone else is interested in having it let me know.

Maybe the fact that is in a bundle pack and early release consoles never seem to be bundled with games. Most of the time they bundle games with a console to get rid of the hardware. Also the foldout manulas are cheaper to produce which makes sense as a pack in bundle.
I have had alot of oz games in my grasps over the past year or so and all the foldout manuals have the made in australia logo on.

I have a Sonic that is exactly like this one. Same bundle pack sticker. I presumed the instructions was a photocopy too!

I asked about this manual the other year and got told it was an ozi release too but i thought it was a bit strange as it wasnt as Aus cart (white lines on lable) or an ozi soft cover / box
Anyhow i also have one of these somewhere so it should be classed as a variation if a number of us have it

It might be a manual that was given with a console that had Sonic built in, and somehow its found its way to accompany a boxed copy of the game? Often that happens with the cart version of Alex Kidd turning up with the console instructions (cover is different)

Well since me and anagrama, perhaps the other guys too, have the game with both this manual and the pack in sticker on the insert, its safe to assume they were meant to be together
