I don't know about you guys, but I first started playing Master System games at 60Hz only when I bought my first Japanese system. I had always known you could play Master System at 60Hz, I remember wanting to but we never had a TV with composite in jacks. I admit I'm finding it quite difficult adjusting to the new pace of older games. For example Space Harrier and Thunderblade. These games were difficult enough already, now it seems even harder. I also can't help but think the game music is too fast, it sounds a lot better at 50Hz Anyone else have this problem?

Some games are still better played in 50hz, for example i find Bomber Raid completely impossible in 60hz. I cant even get past the first boss, but as soon as i switched to 50hz i nearly completed the game straight away.
Music in games like Outrun is also so much better at 60hz, i remember thinking as a kid that a lot of the music in the games seemed slow, and at that time id never heard the arcade version to know that it actually should have been faster, it just sounded wrong.
Developers basically had a choice of whether to develop games with 50 or 60 hz in mind, and although its usually 60hz, the 50hz games are quite random. But thats the beauty of having a 50/60 hz switched system, you can just change it instantly if you like. I havent dared mod my Japanese system to play 50hz though.

I've never bothered to pick up a modded system - but I'll maybe do so next month (not this month coz I'm verging on skint already! lol), I can imagine some games it would be really good for, but others a nightmare!

I've never looked back after first getting a 60Hz system (modded MegaDrive + SMS Convertor). The only games I play in 50Hz are the glitchy ones and the light-phaser games (which makes them all 17% easier! )

does xenon 2 run any better in 60hz, or does it just go messier? I could never give it a fair runout 'cause it always became unbearable after not long.
