There are several colors of action replay. The most common is the black one and I would say it worths ~50€ when complete and in good shape

Can someone tell me how much the action replay is worth? Can you post a pic up. There are a few variations - black or red and cardbaprd or plastic case. Plus it should have two manuals Also should coume with an instruction manual and book of codes.

They are all uncommon, I actually cannot remember which is rarer from black and red Just watch this auction to get an idea of current value: www.ebay.de/itm/161369512210Just be aware there is one other listed with a VERY high 'buy it now' price, this could skew the typical selling value.. Maybe.

I notice both those red version scans are actually mine which are on SMSPower.

Well not really, just not crediting either me or SMSPower for our efforts. It's just a bit lazy, maybe even cheeky in my opinion. Makes me less inclined to use their website or promote it,

I've also seen a few of my scans on segaretro and in some other places without any credit mention, that's why I stopped scanning stuff...

Note that we've occasionally been asked for permission for using scans at SMS Power, and we used to say "ask the person who scanned it", which used to be enough to make people give up. More recently, we changed that to what you see here: www.smspower.org/Scans/Licence which basically requires non-commercial use, giving credit and not hotlinking. I even used gallos_11 in the example The underlying problem is Joe Internet user who goes around saving some images onto his disk and then contributes them to some site - which may have caused SMS Power to "steal" scans from elsewhere too. Stopping scanning seems like a bad way to deal with the issue. Information wants to be free

I totally agree with you that information wants to be free, but a couple facts displeased me seriously and decided to stop scanning. I have to make clear that I never tried to be a SEGA8bit/SMSPower "hero" (and will never do), by overflowing scans. I just offered the minimum work to a place I love! Obviously that work could be shared, but I expected an SMSPower mention as "thank you bro" at segaretro, sonicretro, etc. Slightly displeased with that situation but I left it behind. However, one day I saw a hateful ebay seller with a very rare cartridge using definitely my scan as box cover, saying something like "Cover feels unusual, not sure if it's original". That was the last straw that broke the camel's back! Anyway, I'll probably start scanning again once I have plenty of free time.
