Ok its day dreaming time again What films would you have liked to have seen sms games based on? I would love to have had an Akira game, theres so many cool sequences in the film that would be great to play, particularly the motorbike racing. Battling against Tetsuo's incredible psyionic abilities could have made some great levels too. There was a western developed game released on amiga, but apparently its not too great. If only sega had got one of their developers on the case, it would have been just about the right time period for a Japanese release. And i think the FM chip could do a decent job of replicating the awesome music in the film. Another choice would be a Childsplay game, i cant think of any sms game where you play as an evil character. Who wouldnt want to play as the murderous little doll, and inventivly use anything you can find to dispatch of your victims. And Chucky could get damaged everytime he gets hit, so by the last level hes burnt and battered up, just like in the films.

Something based on Nightmare on Elm Street would have been great! Freddie as the end of level boss each time would've worked well! Also - sad as I am - I'd have loved to have seen a muppets game!!

Elm Street would have been awesome. The NES version has some sick music. What else? Hmmmm, how about Predator? 2 is so bad.

Yeah, I should've thought of that, a Goonies game would have been the shiznit! The NES version of that is pretty cool!
Also, having thought about it, I reckon a 'Mars Attacks' game could have been amusing! Those mad little aliens crack me up!! ;D

I remember wishing they would release a He-Man game.
Would have like to have saw games made of Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal.

There was an Akira game in development for the MegaDrive/MegaCD, but it was never released. Not sure if it's the same as the Amiga game you mentioned or not. I've got a couple of screenshots of it kicking around somewhere...

Ive never heard that there was a megadrive version in the works, its quite possible that its the same as the amiga version. The megacd version probably would have has the same added cut scenes as the CD32 release. I wonder if theres a prototype rom out there.

How about the Lost Boys?
The biggest thing the SMS is missing is some kind of Ninja turtle game. That would have been perfect

I would have loved to see an Akira or Labyrinth game
But when you think about it, any movie could really be made into a game
I would have liked to see a Ranma 1/2 or a Street fighter/mortal kombat platform type game
