Right theres space for one more translation on the back, so if anyone feels like translating the text into German that would be great. Or another language could be used to fill the gap, no made up languages though please!

sorted LOL No offense but why does his ear come out his neck? Is he a Buzdekastanopian? Or was this intentional to follow the theme of the early SMS games having absolutely terrible artwork like that of a 5 year old? (Wonderboy springs to mind.. Transbot.. World Grand Prix - a flag, wow what an exciting cover that was! Looks like a flag waving contest!)

Why not using the original Japanese artwork?

Not really meaning to put a dampener on the excitement here, but is there really any point in re-releasing already existing games? Sure Machine gun Joe was only released in Japan, but its still not impossible to find.
It just seems a bit different to me to re-produce an already released game.

Perhaps i have got a bit carried away with what games should be put on cartridge. What i would prefer to see myself is some nice homebrew games done instead, but the sms programming scene doesnt seem very active. Perhaps the idea of making a bit of money from programming a game and selling it on cart could encourage some devlopment. Personally i have never seen a copy of machine gun joe for sale, i wouldnt mind having an original card myself.

Machine Gun Joe can be obtained ~$15 fairly easily. I agree with Sinistral (and Anagrama who expressed a similar opinion). I think it's cool if people are doing those boxes, but actually spending time to do cartridge reproduction may be far fetched. I can better understand doing reproduction of the unreleased prototypes, but everyone should get itself a Tototek SMS Pro 32 cartridge before considering building reproduction of everything. How much does it takes to do the soldering, EPROM burning, etc? IHMO doing it dozens times for a $15 game is incorrect use of your time. Right now you're just switching EPROM and it's exciting, but doing the soldering for dozens of cartridges might burn your motivation pretty quickly. Now I may be wrong, and you're providing a generous service to the community. But if people start asking about easy to get games.. I and other programmed SMS games for a competition back in March, which I posted here, and I got a whooping zero feedback from you on this forum. www.smspower.org/dev/competition/I do have hope to complete my game (new features and plenty of levels) and doing cartridge production for it. I even have box artwork already.

Well not everyone is capable of programming, my poor brain can get muddled up with html. I have had a look at the development section of smspower, and it looks far too complicated for me. Is there an easier way?, how about using Basic from sc3000 to make games that can run on master system consoles?

Well, it happens that programming is a job. We can't make that magically easier and accessible to everyone. Note that with today tools such as powerful assembler and the debugger in MEKA, SMS programming is already way easier than it was in the eighties. Nothing's given. If you take the time you can learn to do nice things. www.smspower.org/maxim/howtoprogram/You can make games in SC-3000 Basic but apart from text-adventure games they will be utter crap. Haroldhoop even setup a C compiler and simple library for doing SMS coding, that is easier than Z80 assembly, but you won't be able to do a WonderBoy/Phantasy Star using this. However it could be a good way to start. Making a SMS game of commercial quality is a thousand man-hour work. What we discussed what the possibility of doing cartridge for homebrew production. Yes, that would be good.

I personally think it's fine, I mean I'm not going to buy a Mark III any time soon so why not have a repo of the game to play on my SMS? People have been doing this with many different Famicom games and it works just fine. As for actually making a game, I have some, how to say, ideas.....
