I'm staying in the 90s, my last console bought was the Playstation 2, with everything that's been out there just the playstation 3 which could interest me but only for following some games like GTA, resident evil 5 among others, it's been a while but it is still not bought !

Not to sound rude but have you played and spent time with it? If yes, can you honestly say you're not enjoying it? Well i'm in the game industry, i'm a programmer with a master Degree and even before that: I'm a gamer, i enjoy basically all genres, i own a tonw of consoles, i just love games. That said, i don't see much positive in the WiiU. Technically it's bad, it's 2006 material, it's slightly above the Wii from a technical point and while there are people that say "it doesn't matter" those are the same Nintendo fanboys who drooled over the SNES being superios to the NES, the Gamecube being "Nintendos Revenge" after the N64 failure. The System is weak, slow (typical for Nintendo, all the systems since the NES had weak points) The loading times are bad as mentioned...ending a game, you end up in the menu half a minute later. That's bad. The games so far...ZombiU has been promoted to hell and it belongs there, mediocre game. Arkham City sucks, Nintendoland is actually a fun game but how long will it be fun? 2 months? There's not much replay value The "gamepad" is abysmal, it's a gimmick, too large for children, too uncomfortable and in the end, just a gimmick that will run it's course just like the wiimote did I know it's not perfect and some things I would change too but overall I've been having a lot of fun with it. So what's your problem? You have fun, you enjoy it...that's great. Why do you give a faeces about what other people think or why do you think you have to adress people who think otherwise? That's a big problem today: People tend to follow a crowd and say "If they think it's bad, i guess i don't like it either" and vice versa I just say that so far the WiiU looks like crap, because the exclusive games aren't interesting, the conversions are bad, the loading times are horrible and downloading update after update isn't what we fans wanna see (I mean the Master Sysm didn't need an update, the Mega Drive didn't an update, just like the SNES was perfect from the start as was the Atari 2600...why today consoles need upgrades...i don't know, there's something wrong and the argument "they wanna make the system better" doesn't count because that would mean that the Master System 1 was worse than the MS 2, the Mega Drive 1 was worse than the MD2 and those would be lies. Some people are experiencing problems and that's a shame but so far the only problem I've had is 1 freeze. [/quote]

I agree with ShadowAngel in many points. My best friend´s sister made a mistake at christmas and bought the Wii U without talking to him or to me. And now, after only a few weeks, the touchscreen doesn´t load - the accumulator is faulty and my best friend told me that many people have this problem.
I don´t know why these problems appear. Normally, Nintendo must test his new stuff about mechanical defects.. frustrating.

I don't think the hardware is that big an issue, because it's difficult to see where the next generation consoles will go in terms of power anyway - I'm not sure there's much to gain unless you're running on a TV the size of your wall.
The big issue is the total lack of games. Current gen ports, Mario and ZombiU. Woah, I must buy! There is literally nothing on the horizon that'll make me buy it, except if my graphics card can no longer run PC games. I really don't understand how there can be a trickle of games for the Wii since 2011 then they release WiiU with next to nothing, and next to nothing on the horizon. When you factor in the tech-level too, the various problems such as a day 1 update for essential features are so dumb, it's almost like Nintendo want to fail.
