Hey guys! It's the yearly post from ShinobiMan! How's everyone doing? I know I pop in and pop out every once in a blue moon, but I recently had a wonderful SMS related find that I wanted to share with the SMS pros! Today I stumbled across an SMS item I'd only heard of but never seen before. It's one of the seven released Sega Team Newsletter issues, number 4 to be exact. Snagged it for only $1.99! It had a bad tear on the back cover (now nicely taped up), but aside from that everything looks in great condition! I know these are VERY rare. But just HOW rare are they, and how much are they worth? For what I paid I'm very happy, and I now own a nice little piece of Sega history. I know It's probably been discussed before, but finding this really sparked a fondness for my old collecting days. I'd like to hear what you have to say about the Sega Team Newsletter. Thanks! Keep on "Keeping The System Alive!" :-) Here are some pics! (This was the newsletter that offered the limited edition mail away only SMS title Power Strike. It's neat to finally be able to read the actual offer!)

Phew, good like finding the others! Took me forever. As for value, this one and the Alex Kidd cover are the most common. However, it's hard to find them with all their inserts. The Kidd one appears without its poster more often than not. The first two are a spiderpig to locate. Overall, depending on buyer and seller, some of these will cost you around $80 in good condition with the inserts.

Yeah, still looking for the OutRun one to complete the set, but I'm not holding my breath. Last one went for, what $300 or something ridiculous?

I think you're right, it was pretty high. They're easily comparable to the legendary, and notoriously highly priced Nintendo Fun Club newsletters.
