I recently took the plunge and registered as an eBay seller. The item is a mint condition Donkey Kong Jungle Beat Pak for the Nintendo GameCube: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=280835822590I'm not posting to plug the item, but it's there if you're interested. My main reason for posting is for any thoughts or constructive criticism you may have (even if you're not interested in the item).

I haven't sold anything on ebay in years and I don't think I'll be starting anytime soon if they limit you to stupid postage prices like that. How on earth are you supposed to send a big yet easily damaged item like that properly for £2.50? Can't you list in a different category to chose your own postage price?

I think you'll lose many bids in your future listings by excluding bidders out of UK. In worst case, you can obligate oversea bidders to use Registered Mail (with tracking number), so you'll be safe. Good luck!

Can't you list in a different category to chose your own postage price? Thanks, I just had a look and I got a £5.50 P&P limit for listing the item in Gaming Merchandise. In view of that, I reduced the £10 starting bid to £7 which is a bit easier on the eye. I can't go any lower than the £12.50 outlay. Once everyone's had their pound of flesh, I'll be lucky to see a third of that money.

Good luck! At the moment, I'm keeping things as simple as possible because I'm new, but I aim to sell overseas once I've found my feet.

Definitely note the condition of the disc. You can tell most things by the picture but whenever I'm looking to buy a disc based game, I want to see no scratches or at a push very light with no impact on gameplay.
