Anyone know this Mega Drive game? 103 levels and no save facility unless you use an emulator and save states.
It's a platform game in the Super Mario mould which has a more adult theme than Mario. The only way I ever managed to complete the game is by using a cheat to get to the last boss from one of the early levels.
I would love to hear other people's experiences of this game; especially from people who managed to complete it on the original hardware without cheating.

I'm ashamed to say I've never really spent too much time with the game despite having meet the main developer behind the game. It does seem remarkably long form what you've said!

Anyone know this Mega Drive game? 103 levels and no save facility unless you use an emulator and save states. It has actually 'only' 71 real levels. The other 32 are the very short bonus stages called "Elsewhere". But i always wondered why the developers didn't include a battery or password feature (i wondered the same with Super Mario Bros. 3, another rather large game), i only beat the game once on the Genesis for real and it took a couple of hours. Anyway it's a great game, while it doesn't look good it has good gameplay and i always enjoyed the helmets giving you different abilities. And that little tank looked so cute ;D

It's on the xbox360 megadrive collection and you can save it at any point.
I remember getting stuck on one of the levels and giving up.
Not a bad game.

It does not look to bad to be honest,i like the water effect on the first level which is simple but effective but it could look a little better and i agree the game does play really well. When the game first starts it seems like a Super Mario clone but once you start getting the helmets its does get really interesting, this game has been on my `to play` list for a long time now.

Such a great great game. No point playing with save states. It is a game of love and endurance.

I'm still not totally a fan of the rubber band physics that this game shares with the developer's other Psycho Fox, but I think this one is a much better game than the former. As a kid obsessed with Friday the 13th, the ability to play essentially as Jason in KC was too awesome for words. The other guys you get to turn into are a lot of fun, too, lending quite a bit of variety to the game. I had no idea it was so long - I've probably only gotten around halfway through, and even then it was really satisfying to me. I know what you mean about needing a battery though - I have too many terrible memories as a kid playing Super Mario 3, bumping the console and having it all chunk up and freeze right during the last world.

Used to love this. There was a cheat on the megadrive to get you to the last level. me and my mate would practise the last level so that wehn we got there we knew what to do. Think we completed it, but a good game in my memory.

Sorry, just read your comment about the last boss. That cheat was handy.

loved this game when I was a kid... although I never could beat it unless I used the game genie or did the secret warp to the last boss from the second level
