I think's that's the first time i ever started a topic here. Anyhow, just a quick question regarding Submarine Attack. It looks like that was the title of the game in every region. Yet i found two different names for the game in german magazines. One is Sea Fighter (as named in Power Play issue 1/91) the other one is Sea Dragon (in the ASM issue 11/90) The following link has both of the reviews with those titles: www.ninretro.de/game-5-1464.html#3378The screenshots are from Submarine Attack, and that was the name of the game in europe. SMSPower lead me nowhere but i doubt that the magazines made those names up. So i'm just curious if anyone knows if those were prototype names or names for some european regions.

Possibly they were thinking the title until the last moment and these are temporary titles... Sea Fighter would be nice name, but I can't imagine calling it Sea Dragon (due to final boss.. ). I can't read German, but I think the review of ASM (Sea Dragon) is a bit groundless (possibly based on rumors) because there are no screenshots and the very high ratings in contrast to the Power Play low ratings, which I think are closer to reality... On the other hand, there's a similar submarine game called Sea Dragon for other consoles: www.mobygames.com/game/sea-dragonIt seems like a ancestor of Submarine Attack...

Interesting. Never heard of the Sea Dragon game. It could be that those were the planned titles, i just never heard of them and the discussion came up at Ninretro. German magazines often tended to review games that were never released (like the Master System version of The Godfather) or mixing up titles. It's just weird that two magazines had two different titles of a game that was released with yet another title I can't read German, but I think the review of ASM (Sea Dragon) is a bit groundless (possibly based on rumors) because there are no screenshots and the very high ratings in contrast to the Power Play low ratings, which I think are closer to reality... No, that was just the style of the magazine until 1991. Small reviews, rarely any screenshots and weird ratings ;D I think most of the writers were either drunk or stoned when they made the issues, they are as bad as most of the british magazines, but also quite hilarious at times ;D
