Check this out - www.pscave.com/psg1/faq.shtmlI guess that PSIII was never even considered for a remake and they planned on releasing PS1,2&4 on a compilation.... Seems weird that they decided to skip 3 and work on 4. Hopefully someone will release an english translation patch for the first one at least someday...

Yeah, that's strange. There are other collections like the GBA game but isn't that one missing part IV? The Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection has all 4 original games on it but if I remember right you actually need a 2nd controller to unlock part 1. www.gamefaqs.com/ps3/954265-sonics-ultimate-genesis-collection/data Edit: (Unlock Phantasy Star: Defeat the first boss in Sonic 2 with 2 players) You can't even fool the PS3 into thinking you have 2 controllers either because once you shut off controller 1 you get that paused screen saying to reconnect the controller. In other words you have to spend another $60 on a 2nd controller to unlock Phantasy Star. I had to find it again but this is one of the most interesting things I've found about Phantasy Star. Wiki: Algol (β Per): This may not be the brightest star of this constellation, but it definitely is its most famous star. Algol (from Arabic al-Ghul, which means The Ghoul or The Demon Star) represents the eye of the gorgon Medusa. This star is the prototype of a whole group of eclipsing variable stars. Its apparent brightness ranges between 2.12m and 3.39m with a period of merely 2.867 days. It is a triple star with the brightest component having a spectral type B8 V. The Algol system lies at a distance of only 93 ly. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perseus_%28constellation%29Algo Star System: We all know about the Algo (or Algol) star system from the PS games, but not so many know that Algol actually exists. Algol is an eclipsing binary star located in the Perseus constellation. In fact, the 'ghoul' star was thought to represent the eye of Medusa, due to its variable brightness. It would seem, then, based on PSI, that Sega was inspired by the real system. For background on Algol, click here. Click on the thumbnails to view the larger images. www.phantasy-star.net/phacts.html

I didn't know that would work but I still don't have the remote. How much do those sell for? I supposed a PSP used as a controller would do the trick as well. Either way it's cold that they basically force you to buy a second controller for five minutes of play to unlock a one player game.
I also saw besides the Phantasy Star IV remake being canceled, Alex Kidd in Miracle World remake was canceled. Talk about a bad time to end the Ages remakes.

The Alex Kidd one would have been awesome. You should be able to use a PSP maybe..? I don't have a PSP. Does it work as a controller normally?

I've never tried it but I've read that quite a few times. It must be limited without the second stick though.
As a side note I'm pretty sure you can use a PS3 controller on a PSP Go but not a 3000, 2000, 1000. That's a cool feature because you can easily hook a PSP to a TV. I don't know all the details about it though because I don't have a Go.

Question...
I'm using FIRE with Alis - that costs her 4 MP each time - does that ever change with experience. Also, when I get Noah, will it cost him the same?
Am thinking about making a list of the "cost" of using each one.

That bloody Saccubus - I was wondering if it was just messing with me, turns out I was dreaming! Wonder if I'd have used up all my items if it would have given me them back?

Am thinking about making a list of the "cost" of using each one. Here's an already made list for MP cost, it might be a spoiler because it shows all the spells you'll get. www.phantasy-star.net/psi/psitech.htmlIt'll cost Noah the same MP but he will have at lv 1 and he'll have a lot more MP to play with. Fire will always cost 4 MP, you do get better attack spells at higher levels but they will cost more. I'm pretty sure you always get anything back that you used on Saccubus seeing it's just a dream.
