I still really don't understand what is the point with sega classic games. 1-reissues of awesome games ? blah, there's some crap stuff 2-reissues of well sold games ? I've only seen three copies of non-classic world championship soccer II in ten years, so I guess not 3-games made by a single editor ? don't think so either
As for the title screen as a screenshot, I mean, it's streets of rage, the name itself should make the game sell (well, at least, it was the reason they ported it to master system I guess) so why not ?

Well I always thought that they simply used the classics covers to try and help sell off unsold stock of over-produced games. Hence why the manuals and carts are just the same rather than being redesigned. And as I recall it, they were all sold for a budget price of £9.99 here in the UK.

The classic series was probably used to sell off unsold stock alright. While on the topic of the Classic series’ background, does anyone know when the series was introduced? I assume it was after Wonder Boy in Monster World was realised in 1993 at the earliest.

For more pictures no problem, but i haven't equipment for scan in my home, but i think i can do that with help of a friend Glad to have you aboard! I have some questions for you, but you don't have to answer them if you don't want to. Are you a collector of Master System as well or did you just decided to buy some games and it happend to be these ones? Were you aware of the fact that nobody (read all the members here at least) had heard of the release before?

I'd love this to be real but it somehow just doesn't seem right. I'll reserve judgment until the buyer has received it.

from what I've understood on the other forum, the lady selling the game had a lot of games, many being spares. The games came from her father's work: they used to have free games (and systems maybe ?) for employees to borrow them and even get them definitely (maybe when the society got new stuff, they let the old games go) Unfortunately, the father died a couple of years ago so revo couldn't ask much about it without getting the lady embarassed. While talking, the lady said she had found many other games and brang a cardboard box full of them. Among the box, 4 copies of tazmania. And two other copies of classic SOR So yeah, the game does exist and there is three copies of it coming from the same non commercial source. So maybe it never made it to the shops ?

I'm not a varient hunter but this must drive those with previously complete "classics" collections wild and happy at the same time.
I love that we're still discovering stuff...

I love that we're still discovering stuff... I totally agree. I think this is the 3rd new discovery since I started collecting. No doubt there's still more out there too!

Point 1: Ayrton Senna's Super Monace GP II My classics version has a title screen as the first picture. Mine has the Mode select screen as the first screenshot (same as the standard box, black background on the classic, green on the standard, picture of Senna in the top left of it). Anyone have a list of all Classic re-releases? Interested to see how many more I need for a complete set.
