I believe it is the highest possible score, yes. I finished it on one life the other day and got the exact same score. It's a pretty easy game too if you just use the jump and hack all the way through . Still, nice score. Did you collect every potion/meat? I missed 2, don't know if they affect the score or not.

I grabbed all the meat, but missed a few potions, more than 2 I'd say. I had only one health block gone when I beat it! PS, I almost never jump! I find it too hard to land a hit, then they hit me when I land, and even when you do hit them doesn't seem to do much damage, same as a standing slash I think. Attachments:

Does the score depend on how you finish enemies? Whether you kill them with repeated sword blows, a kick or a throw - or even by jumping them off a cliff? I always thought that, as it was "strength" you should get a higher score by throwing whenever you can... but I guess it's just points for killing and points off for taking hits?

I've investigated into this and come up with the following.
Killing enemies gives you points. Enemies are worth more points as the game goes on and they get stronger. For example, enemies in the first level are 1 point each and enemies in the second level are 1.5 points each. Bosses are worth more points. You don't get any extra points for collecting items or killing enemies with animals or magic. HOWEVER, you do lots of extra points for throwing/knocking enemies off edges.
At the end, you score is divided by the amount of lives you used and then 30 is added on. The max score is around 264 I reckon.

Cheers mate, I'm pretty certain now that it is a perfect score ;D Twin Galaxies is down at the moment but I'll submit the video when I can. I'll see if I can get it up on YouTube as well.

Woah, nice one. Skeletons usually conspire to rid me of lives in this game, so it'd be cool to see that run!

So I left the video uploading overnight and luckily enough it was successful!
You can see the techniques I use for getting the maximum score (knocking enemies of ledges). Getting the high score of 282 isn't too difficult, it's doing it in one life that's the hard part! If you manage that you'll get the extra 30 points and overall strength of 312. The trickiest part of this challenge I would say is the start of level 3, where there's quite a few enemies you need to knock off the ledge. It's pretty easy to get caught and end up off the ledge yourself. At the end of level 4, there's a few 3-on-1 situations that are pretty tough, you have to make sure you keep moving. I had some hairy moments on the last boss as well, a single hit would have ended my run.

Made for an epic win at the end. You made it look pretty easy as well. Have never beat it with one life myself ;D
