Is there a Market for building MS Converters for the Genesis??
I know the Mega Master & Master Converter 2 is expensive
The PBC is bulky on the Genny 2

If you can make the HES version, then yeah, maybe. I think there's a company that already does this, but I forget what it's called offhand. Realistically, though, probably not that big of a market. I like to play my SMS games straight as they were meant to be played. Save the Genesis for its own games.

Isn't it possible to pause using the 'mode' button on Genesis controllers?

Well, anyway, there's likely no more than two people that would want something like this. I'd say 99% of people that own SMS games own an SMS to play them on.

I'm almost positive that the Tototek one has a pause button. I'll try mine out whenever it gets unpacked and let you know.

It's pretty easy to build one. It took me about 2 hours worth of work (most of it was double and triple checking each connector and checking it off as I went). Basically, get a genesis game you don't care about, desolder it all and take an x-acto knife around the bottom to sever any traces (really important!), and desolder a card-edge connector from a spare SMS or you can order them online. If you need the part # let me know. dk.toastednet.org/SMS2SMD

Also, this is worth owning if you care about the few brazil titles that don't play in non-brazil SMS1 equipment properly (like sonic blast, sitio do picapau, street fighter 2).

Sonic Blast and Street Fighter 2 plays fine on a Master System with a built in game
