We all know that the "Great" series is anything but great. Most of us have played at least a few of them though, so which is your favorite?

I think that great volleyball is by far the best one.

Definitely, that's where my vote goes. That game is actually top notch all-around. Great gameplay, interesting controls, awesome tournament mode, challenging, all there. Actually my favorite video game for volleyball ever.

I agree; Great Volleyball is the best in the "Great" series. Now, if I can only get the manual to complete my copy...

Always quite liked Great Golf personally! Yes! Great Golf is a surpriringly good Golf game and in my opinion the best on the Master System. The other Golf games have too many options whereas with Great Golf one can just start a one or two player really easily. Also, Great Golf two player uses two controllers where the other games' two players share one controller. That might not be a problem to you lot but to me and my brother we prefer different controllers. It's so easy to get into too and the graphics aren't that bad either. The best Great Game though is Great Baseball. Much better than American Baseball as it's easier to control.

My vote goes to Great Baseball. I had a lot of fun playing it with my cousins, I like Great Volley too but I had to vote for my favorite "great" game.

I can't believe these are tied! Great Baseball has no tournament mode to speak of and you can only play a single game! That sucks balls!

Haha yeah, that picture of Stan is legendary. Too bad they never made a blue Great Baseball re-release...
I voted prematurely for Great Volleyball, but in retrospect it probably should have gone to Great Golf. I like the two different Great Golfs that SEGA made. Very playable even today. The one I've played the most is definitely Great Ice Hockey - that one is like the Plan 9 From Outer Space of video games. So soooo bad, but the mechanics of pushing the trackball like crazy is perversely fun. I still have yet to even get a single goal in it yet, but I'm trying!

World Soccer is a great little game (pun very much intended!), though I think my view is rose tinited since I got it with my Master System at Christmas when I was a kid.

Great Baseball is the S@&T (besides being an only one game mode)!! The controls are pretty good for its age and even has a homerun contest!! Used to play the hell out of this and still do!!

It's time for the experts view (that's me). The words I type from now are gospel and must be taken as so.
Great Football - A travesty of American Football. Although I'm not a fan of the sport (all that starting & stopping and grunting). But this flickery, unplayable tosh....wait a minte...I don't own it. But it's crap. I actually need a copy for my collection....
Great Golf - is golf, playable yep. The graphics done by a 2 year old. Yep. Not worth playing with the likes of PGA around.
Great Volleyball is shocking. Viewed from a funny angle make it hard to direct and hit the ball at tines. The sprites are also shoddy. Nothing to recommend here.
Great Ice Hockey - would be a half decent game if they had released it with regular control. We had Sports Pad Football, they should have had 2 versions of this. Unplayable in 1 player, more playable in 2 player but not much.
Great Soccer/World Soccer - now that is a super little game. The 2nd game I ever owned and it rocks. No competitions, no many options, but good solid fun gameplay. Maybe it nostalgia but I'm unable to slate this game in any way. Looking at the soccer games on the MS - this one beats Italia 90, Champions of Europe, Ulitimate Soccer and Super Kick Off out of the water. It seems to play better in 50hz for me, a bit of slow down in 60. Chuck in a penalty kick option and you have a winner!
Great Basketball - if you want a 'sim' this is your only option. It's awful, the music, the speech, the inability to tackle players without fouling them, Horrendous! Where's NBA Jam when you need it?!
Great Baseball seems pretty ok to me. It's pretty limited, but I did manage to hit the ball and field a few out. I'm not really into Baseball, so can't comment on the accuracy. Some of the graphics look ancient though! A game I may play once or twice a year. Nothing special though.
and the winner is World Soccer...I mean Great Soccer
