Okay, so the site censors the game's title, but there still shouldn't be any reason why D!CK TRACY doesn't have it's own thread. This is a game I've owned for awhile but never played, and I popped it in when the game fell out of my closet.
Kind of weird. The first level plays like a rollerball shooter, like DEAD ANGLE or T2: THE ARCADE GAME, where you move the cursor and shoot, but then you're also moving in the foreground punching and shooting enemies left and right. That's two axes you have to pay attention to, and the game automatically corrects where you're shooting depending on where you are facing and whether or not people are running at you from the sides. It's pretty crazy.
I only made it to the second level in this sitting, but that level didn't have any background elements like the first. From the back of the box I guess there is also some target shooting, too? Talk about just throwing genres into a blender. Oh, and for a late release game, man, those graphics suck a baby hyena. For the first bit on the second level I thought my system had glitched up and caused the whole screen to pixelate with bright lines and boxes...and then I realized it was actually part of the level design. Ug-ly!
How is the rest of the game? Opinions on the whole? Let the Sega8Bit mob know!

It's freaking forking terrible. One of the worst games ever. It has some cool game features, but ends up being quite tedious by the end, if you stick it out. The ending on the hardest difficulty setting is the same as the easiest, so keep it set on the easiest when you play it. As for why I don't like it, just read my review. Oh, wait, the site is currently down. I'll post it when it's back up.
