Right then, out of your sms collections, which single game do you have the most versions/variations of? And multiple spare copies don't count!
I'll kick things off, in my collection the one game I have most versions of is Outrun with 4 different ones:
Outrun European release Outrun US Outrun Tec Toy blue cover version Outrun Japanese
I'm not that big a fan of sms outrun either, I much prefer Outrun Europa!

For me its AKIMW.... which is fine by me as its one of my favourite games! 1) German Variation (Die Mega Cartridge) 2) US (Now, there are no limits®) 3) Now, there are no limits(sm) 4) Now, there are no limits® 5) NO - Now, there are no limits I'm missing manuals for the last 3 (just have the new ones in there that came with the SMS2) But I'm kinda sure they are Euro releases? The (sm) one has an Ozisoft sticker but who knows! Now to track down that elusive re-release variant! A TecToy one would also be nice! EDIT: Just bought a Tec Toy card box one so that makes 6 EDIT: And the rerelease so 7 now

I'd like mine to be AKIMW, too, since I have the following:
US Now, there are no limits.℠ US Now, there are no limits.® US Now, there are no limits.℠ (Sealed) US Re-release Canadian UPC release Demo kiosk cart Mark III
Unfortuately, I still have more copies of Hang-on/Safari Hunt than that (since the sealed copy really isn't different):
US Now, there are no limits.℠ US Now, there are no limits.® MADE IN CHINA (sticker) MADE IN TAIWAN MADE IN CHINA M A D E I N J A P A N Irwin
I'm sure there are even more than that available, since Hang-on/Astro Warrior also had a Hong Kong printing. I've got six different Hang-on/Astro Warrior's, too. Cool thread.

Four variations of Operation WOLF. I would have five, but it went to a more deserving home. :D
Five variations of Pro Wrestling.
Six variations of Vigilante.
Six variations of The Ninja (with another one sitting on my floor, so seven).
Seven variations of Super Tennis.
Seven variations of Choplifter (with another in the post, I think).
Nine variations of World Grand Prix, with there being at least one more out there.
And now we wait for Rupert to come along. :)

Awesome! :)

Lucky Dime Caper. Got the normal release, classic release and the gift set. So a measly 3 variations is my maximum . Is there any SMS games that have 10 variations? I only know of one Sega game that has that many variants so far, and that's an MD game.

Between mine and devil's listings of Alex Kidd in Miracle World, that makes 11 different variations alone, and several more if you count all the different console releases where the game was bundled. Add in a Tec Toy version and that's 12. That one might have the record.
