I know you blokes don't do Halloween, but surely Easter gets some press over in your land of castles, efficient public transport and grey skies. I usually always get together with family around this time to engage in the tradition of painting eggs. Trite, I know, but hey, it's tradition. This year I decided to give some kudos to the Kidd. Enjoy!

Enjoy! Not really. Well, not that I noticed. Come to think of it, I haven't seen a single easter egg in any shops... The only reason I knew it was easter is because we got two days off work (four day weekend!) and due to the fact that there were a lot more "zombie Jesus" images flying around the more interesting parts of the interwebs. Maybe that's just me. I'm old and cynical and don't care about any holidays - especially those which are religious.

Americans sure do love their 'holidays'. As Aypok said for people in England all it really means is the supermarkets are filled with chocolate eggs (I received 4 this year plus £20 from my relegious gran ) and workers get a bank holiday friday (Good Friday... or happy friday as a girl at work thought it was called) and a bank holiday Monday.. easter Monday I guess. Theres also something about not eating meat at some point, except you can eat fish or something.. I don't really buy into all that. People at school, college or uni get 2 weeks off. For me easter means chocolate and I suspect its the same for a lot of british people unless they are brought up in a relegious household.

Haha, that's a great comic, Aypok. I am not really a holiday man myself, especially when it involves reinforcing Christian religious principles. That's why if I celebrate at all, it's the secular parts (the Easter egg crap for Easter or the Santa Claus stuff on Christmas). If I lived sheltered off from everyone, I'd certainly be content to live my life without any partaking in holiday events, but sometimes it's fun to just concede to the group.
smscollect, the egg I painted was actually a prototype design...you interested? ;D
