I wonder why Sega didn't make there own back art..they only did a UPC sticker
Would it be hard to Photoshop the Back Art to look like the true US Version

Taking the Euro art seems as good an idea as any. As for Photoshop, it would be easy, especially since the Genesis version has all the text to fill in too. Whether it would be worth the effort is another question, entirely.

I guess by that time the 'Master System team' was all made redundent and the 'Genesis team' were all too busy with the Genesis to waste their time messing with an SMS cover, they probly just bought a shipment from a european company all made up then some temp was brought in to slap stickers on them. So actually to edit then re-print all the covers and insert them would have been a pretty big job... this is just me thinking it through out loud

Sorry to bring this thread back, but is the only difference between the US version and the European is a UPC sticker stuck on the case? Or on the actual back cover? Or is there something else?

Yep there isn't really a US version as such, they just sold the Euro release with a sticker slapped over the barcode on the back of the insert.

Thanks, there supposedly was one on eBay US for $25 buy it now. The seller claimed that the sticker was on the outside plastic, didn't have a picture of it though. I asked him for a picture and he said his camera was out of batteries, not too much longer he took the auction down listing the item as "The seller ended this listing early because the item was lost or broken." But who knows...
