Alright, so we can't all be part of the Smurfs 2 club, but why not boast if you've got the US's rarest exclusive. If we're counting barcodes, I'm sure Sonic is the rarest (probably rarer even than SMURFS 2, if visibility on auction sites the last two years is any barometer), but I know James "Buster" Douglas Knockout Boxing is no slouch to find either. So in the spirit of the Smurfs 2 thread, let's make a list of all the people who have the game, and how it was obtained and for what cost. It could be interesting. The list: grolt (eBay US lot, -$10 after rest of lot was sold off, Complete) rupert (Gamestation, £1, Boxed) Policenaut (eBay France, $36, Boxed) Aypok (eBay UK, £5, Complete) Stan (eBay US, Complete) megasdkirby (Digital Press, Complete) blitho (Dump shop, £1, Boxed) coenak (eBay US, $155 lot, Complete) Benne (eBay US, $100, Complete) drrotule (eBay France, 15€, Complete) chunkchenko (eBay US, Complete) trashitall (eBay France, 10€, Complete) I'll start: Bought it almost a year ago to the day in a massive US lot with about 80 complete games, a boxed system and a couple boxed accessories for $380. I ended up selling all the other items (since Buster was the only thing I needed) for about $470, so with shipping and everything, I actually made about $10 on Buster.

I've had two, the first one was purchased at my local Gamestation for £1. Well it was actually £1.99 buy one get one free so Would have got somthing else aswell. I was very shocked to see it as I checked their stock weekly and it had been months since I had seen anything different in there.
The 2nd (which I have now sold for an amount I cant remember) was about £7 posted from Belgium (I think?) Sadistic won it for me and posted it over as they didnt ship international or take paypal.
Neither of these have manuals.

Can I suggest that instead of having lots of different threads we add a Guardiana style "the following members have this game" bit, if we mixed it with cover variations we could also use it as a rarity barometre. Oh and I don't have this game, but I do have some felt-tips and a copy of Heaveyweight Champ

Oh and I don't have this game, but I do have some felt-tips and a copy of Heaveyweight Champ I think that's a solid idea, but I also think it's nice to keep threads like this and Smurfs 2 just for a more elaborate tribute to the hardest to find games, with stories, etc.

I got mine some time in the last year. I think it was £5, but I'm not 100% sure of that.
krooper13: Good idea, but who's going to write it? :)

Cheap acquisitions of this bad boy all around, it seems! Somebody has to be paying the $100 it regularly fetches on the bay... ;D

I have no idea about how to write anything like that, could it be done as a colabpration between all of us (some scanning and catagorising others writting the code)?

Do you mean scanning covers missing from SMS Power!, or duplicating their work (scanning everything)? If the latter, it seems like a waste of time when we can just link to their images. The code for a site to do what is required would be very easy (providing a sane language is chosen). I'm not going to volunteer this time, since I doubt I'll be able to find the time. Although I'd be surprised if it'd take more than a day to hack something up in Django - double that if using PHP with the Zend Framework. The biggest problem would be integration in to the current site (which uses "classic" ASP)...

I have one complete. To be honest, I can't remember how much I paid for it. I believe it came in a lucky lot, but I really can't remember. Mine's in great condition.

I have two copies: the one for sale at CtC and my official CIB copy. I don't remember what was exactly what I paid for the CIB, but I do remember it was from a fellow at Digital Press.

Add me to the list ;D just picked one up Boxed at my local dump shop for a £1 . Was going past saw it and thought what the hell might as well have a look and then on a shelf in front of me hidden with some DVDs was the only master system game there and it just so happened to be the rarest US release . I might sell in a few months.
