Hello to all you SMS addicts out there.
I stumbled upon this board/site while looking up information on one of my MS games; I must say it is a really great site, props to the creator.
I little about me, I am 32 years old and have been collecting video games since 2001. (My collection consists of everything from consoles, to arcade machines). I have probably been playing video games however since I was 4 and my father brought home our first Atari VCS.
My first encounter with the SMS was sometime around 1988. I didn't have one personally because like most kids in America I had a NES. A neighbor of mine got a SMS for her birthday and asked me to hook it up for her. I was instantly taken back by it's sleek black and red appearance, as it seemed so much more exotic then my dull grey NES. I rode the grey box out until the Genesis hit the market and never looked back at Nintendo until the arrival of the GameCube.
Fast forward to 2003, I was out on one of my weekend adventures, hunting video games in the wild, when I stumbled across a box at a flea market. Inside was a SMS complete with light phaser, 3D glasses, and a bunch of boxed games. I scooped it all up pretty cheap, brought it home and was hooked.
Since then with the help of E-bay, and other resources, my collection has grown and consists of 113 games (US,EUR,AU,BR) 2 Complete boxed systems, as well as many boxed accessories.
I love playing this system and it has to be my favorite out of the 8-bit generation.
