I seem to remember that we did this a few years ago and it was a great laugh, so I thought everyone should predict how their club will do, how their countries league will end up and who will win the champions league. Come April it should be quite funny.
Me Southampton: Play great football but have to sell anyone who has an ounce of talent so I think top half, but not quite playoffs, say 8th.
Premiership: Manchester United to win it, Chealsea to come a close 2nd, Liverpol 3rd and Aresenal to rebuild and fall short of the Champions League places. Also I think Hull might just stay up and defy the odds.
Champions League: Chealsea to loose to Jose Mourinho's Inter (though that might be a little too perfect).

I support Liverpool. I recon they will definatly be in the top 3 at the end of the season.... but as a loyal supporter i think theres a chance of winning it!!! ahahaha as for the Champions league.... We won it 3 years ago so why not again? Come on Liverpool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As for southhampton.. they have come on leaps and bounds over the past few years and i reckon they will finish in the top 10. Love football. Yes FOOTBALL.... not 'soccer' hahaa

I really think Wigan are going to do well this year. they have held onto some great players and have a fantastic new kit (i think that makes you play better ). I'm gona predict they finish 5th or 6th.. I'm with you and think Man U will win.. but hopfully Chealsea will get religated where they belong.

My team: Cheltenham Town. Phil Downing will do a cracking job again and keep us in Div 1 will little to no money.
Prem: Chelsea to win it. As Ronaldo will be sunning himself in Madrid in preference to playing on a wet weekend in Hull.
Relegated: Hull, Middlesborough, Stoke
Champions League: Chelsea's old timers peak again. Fat Frank to score in the final.

Sam, Phil. You're my kinda guys. ;D As far as predictions go I did pretty well in Euro 2008, as far as betting was concerned I cleaned up. But yeah, Ill just say Liverpool to win whatever. *doesnt follow it closely enough to know whats what* And for all I am a Liverpool fan, I do hope Ronaldo gets to leave Man U, I think Ferguson is being cruel by holding him back, hes really ruining his career by doing that to him. (I still hate Ronaldo mind. XD)

Hes being held back in his career. The fact Ferguson said he'd rather have him sat on the bench than leaving speaks volumes.

The whole Ronaldo thing is an embarasment, if he didn't want to be at united why did he sign that huge contract extention? Also I agree United are strong enough to win without him. As for clubs to go down Stoke, West Brom and Blackburn, they are really going to miss Brad Friedel and I don't think Ince has what it takes to manage a top team.

The whole Ronaldo thing is an embarasment, if he didn't want to be at united why did he sign that huge contract extention? Totally agree... He signed the contract and has to honor it. If he broke his leg tomorrow, Unitied would still have to pay him... Anyway, I'm a Charlton fan... and I'm looking for at least the play-offs... we totally underperformed last year and even though we've had to sell to keep the wage sensible, we've still got enough tallent to go up. I'm putting my money on Arsenal to win the prem, as long as they dont lose anymore players (they're youth has to come good sooner or later) Madrid to win Champ league

Sorry to break it to some of the hopers, but being entirely realistic - it is definitely going to be Man Utd or Chelsea again. Maybe Arsenal if they can keep their first team fit for the majority of the season. Much as I like Liverpool, they're heading for fourth again, they won't win it - nice though it would be to have somebody else win it's just not going to happen.
Relegation - Hull (though they're being shrewd by getting some old Premiership war-horses on board, so maybe they could sneak it), West Brom (definitely) and Stoke (definitely).
If Hull could pull it off (though I don't think they will) then maybe Boro or Bolton for the drop.
As for the Ronaldo argument - he signed the contract and should honour it, simple as that. I have no time at all for players (like Anelka) who constantly jump clubs in the middle of contracts just for the money - because that's what it's for - NOTHING else. It's well known that high profile footballers in Spain have no quality of life as they're hounded by the press and photographers 24/7, and Man Utd are the champions of Europe - so it isn't for footballing reasons. Ronaldo needs to grow up and keep his mouth shut.

Don't dismiss Liverpool just yet... with Robbie Keane and maybe Barry on board, along with Torres & co, you never know the true reds may win some premiership silverware next year!

I've never rated Robbie Keane even for a striker he's unnecessarily selfish and £20.3 Million for a 28 year old was a dumb move anyway even if I'm wrong and he does play well you would be lucky to get 1/3 of that money back next season. Barry however may boost you a little, but not into the top 2.
