I'm not a fan of american football, very boring to watch, the rules seem daft. Not as rough as Rugby League yet they wear the most ridiculous pads ever!
As for the game, if it werre on SMS i would hope it would look alot better than the NES version but I doubt it would look as good as the Arcade (that looks more like Megadrive level graphics).

Yeah but not many rugby players are 300+ pounds (21+ stones?) like in American football. The rules are easy. You get four tries to make ten yards of distance. Lather, rinse and repeat until you cross the goal line. If you don't gain ten yards in four plays, you send the ball over to the other team and they try the same thing. It's all about controlling territory really. Tecmo would have probably looked better on an sms, but definitely not as good as the arcade.

Most SMS games that had NES and arcade equivilants seem to look halfway between the two, whilst having much better quality than the NES version they were never quite up to arcade standards.
As for teh American football thing I have to agree with Rupert, it is a very dull game, think about it if it was any good it would have gained international regognition like Ice Hockey and Basketball have. Though I would arguee that Rugby Union is the more physical game than Rugby League, but as Rupert's from Wigan I feel I may loose that argument!
