ive been re-playing lord of the sword on dega the past week (its so much more fun to take your time utilising the save feature) i completed this game years ago, but still i am unable to complete task three, destroy the statue , after i defeat the goblin or balala valley and get the stuff to destroy the statue i go to where the statue is (right from harfoot) and the statue is simply no longer there. ive played this game through a dozen times, sometimes not even visiting the statue and yet varlin castle drawbridge would still be open. im beginning to wonder if its the way ive played the game thats made me not need to perform this task? im also wondering what difference to the story there would be if i allowed the book to be stolen (the one im supposed to cast into mount morgus) has anyone bothered with this game or is it just me that keeps returning to it?  |

Hi, I haven't played this game for 13 years, but I just finished the download of it yesterday...
Lord of The Sword is one of the only SMS game that I NEVER finished !!

i had the exact same problem. task 3 - 'destroy the statue of evil'. so off i went and it was gone!
so off i went to the castle and finished the game.
if anyone can solve this mystery, let us know!!

I also had the same problem. Actually, it was there one other time, but was stone and wouldn't fight me.

Its always there in stone, you need to complete the other tasks before you are "supposed" to destroy it

Heres another question for yous that have played it. what was your favourit parts of the game?
My faves
The Duel at elder castle - this was awesome completly unexpected!
The necromancer at cram bog - the only boss to be defeated with use of bow? you need a good one thou!
The creature of Mt Morgus - very cool enemy!
The hidden maze in lindon! wow.. do you think this was copied from wonderboy 3 or is it the other way around! this boss is probly the hardest in the game.
Stupid Bits
The Pirate of Falas - the guy you just stand under the island and hack to pieces
The damn statue!
They just dont make games like this anymore.. shame!
