Who's ready for the change, I am..My 2 Pocket TV's are going to be useless by then..
I know for a fact you could still play your old Atair systems with no problem..That's the only way you use your old TV for

We are changed over all but one TV, which is my SMS TV (Panasonic 29" square CRT, too good to throw away). Every other TV in the house has either built in freeview, a freeview box or cable (or both). I bet there are quite a few people out there who are either a little thick when it comes to technology or just old and 'dont understand' who will wake up on the day of the switch over with no tv channels and not understand why. I don't notice that many public advisory announcements to get people ready I think they screapped the turning off a analogue radio because nobody bought digital ones. I'm glad in a way, I like tuning through the fuzz to find a station thats all part of listning to the radio for me. I dont actually know anyone who bought a digital radio, nor do i know anyone with a car that has it as standard..

If you have heard any of the adverts they all say that your tv needs to be "converted" to digital which means all the spanners and the older generation will think that it is an expensive and costly procedure when you could go to tesco and pick up a receiver for less than £15.

Theres been TV ads on lately saying all Video Recorders won't work after the switch over. I don't see why, mine works just as it should through Cable.

I think the South East still has a while yet as well, they seem to be doing the more remote areas first to get rid of any problems before they sort it in London. I've seen a fair few adverts and I'd imagine there will be loads more when the changeover happens.

LOL, I miss-read that at first coz I'm sleepy, I thought you said...'there doing the areas with remotes first'.. as in some areas havent even got as advanced as having a remote controle for the telly
