I love the frst two Terminator films, brilliant stories, great action scenes, and both incredibly atmospheric. The third one was just a really dull version of the second one, with no imagination or style. Seems spoiling the good name of Terminator with that film wasn't enough, their making a TV series of it now, and it looks awful, and makes no sense in the overall storyline. www.youtube.com/watch?v=LwhUcDbRmuAIm sick of good stuff being re-made or re-imagined, if you can't do a better job of it leave it alone and do something new instead. Ok my rant is over

i'm gona keep an open mind till i see an episode. Most things like this dont do the source material justice... except smallville wich was clearly much better than the films.

I really like the first two superman films, and parts of the third one. I really didn't think much of the smallville episodes I saw, a bunch on whiny teenagers. The recent Superman film wasn't too hot either, they tried to make it a sequel to the first two films, but it felt way too familiar, even reusing several of the lines from those films.

I only watched the first few series of smallville (how many have there been?) thought it was really good, the superman films were ok when I was a kid but were abit naf when I saw them again recently

They always ruin good films. Blade springs to my mind, i loved the films but in the TV series Blade was soft as shite and it just ruined it. Mind you i don't suppose they could get Wesley Snipes to play the part as he was on the run for tax evasion .

The problem is studios are always going to take a quick buck over artistic merit, hence most of the new big releases being sequels/prequels/remakes or anything else lacking in immagination.
