Its been a while since ive played a retro handheld, and im thinking of gamegear, original gameboy and lynx now. Instead i have been spoilt by the pixel perfect clear screens of my GBA SP and DS. Now i find it really difficult to play the older handhelds, especially fast moving games like sonic, because the screen blurs so much, its difficult to see whats going on. Not a problem for the old gameboy games as they work fine in my SP. But i just cant be bothered to play a gamegear anymore, lucky most of the games are on sms. Am i alone in this?

I still play my Game Gear but I did only buy it a month back. The screen does get very blurred in some side scrolling platformers. Haven't played by Gameboy in years since I use my GBA for the games.
If you want a good retro handheld with really good scrolling I suggest you buy a Neo Geo Pocket Color.

yeah i already have a neo geo pocket, i bought it for Sonic pocket adventures, a really cool conversion/remake of the megadrive game Sonic 2. And despite being non-lit, the screen on that is really good, even better than the original gameboy advance.
Its a shame sega never copied nintendos idea of updating their handhelds whenever newer technoloby came around. A gamegear with a better screen, and using a couple less batteries would have been great.
