I know its been out a while, but ive just picked it up, and wow is it good. Forget all those other outrun sequels - europa, battle, turbo, 2019, outrunners, this is the only true sequel to the original. The graphics are beautiful, the classic music is back and sounding even better, and the new addition of drifting makes it huge fun to play. Its even got a perfect port of the original arcade game hiding on the disk too. This is easily my favorite xbox game, and you can pick it up on ebay for a couple of quid now, i recommend it to everyone!

Everyone's about to jump ship onto Outrun Coast 2 Coast which comes out on 31st March. Then maybe there will actually be people there to play with online. I highly reccomend the online play, all though there are bugs which have been fixed for Coast 2 Coast.

sadly i havent played it online, as i refuse to pay microsoft a subscription to use my xbox on the internet. They should make xbox live free now that it doesnt cost anything on xbox 360.

It does cost on the 360 mate, same as on Xbox 359. You can transfer your account anyway. I can assure you that you are majorly missing out, and for the amount you pay for the year it's better value for money than any one game. I've had live since last last August, last night I was up to 5am playing with some top lads from another forum I go on (www.nowloading.co.uk).

other than outrun2 and super monkey ball, sega have really lost their form since their dreamcast glory days. Its amazing how many fantastic games they made for that system in such a small amount of time.

Glad to see others like this game; it really is excellent, one of the greatest sequels ever if not THE greatest. It's as if Sega combined all the elements that made their driving games good in the past into one game and actually made it work.
what's this coast 2 coast thing? out run 2.5?

May I recommend Outrun on the sega classics game. It's got new revamped graphics but they work well and the game is true to the original, unlike Golden axe.

I sadly ain't got an XBox, but everytime I go to a seaside place I play on Outrun 2 in the amusements (that was 3 times, Blackpool, Bridlington and Southport in 5 days a few weeks back!), still crap at it and I still can't complete the section where the castle is.
I also played a different Outrun 2 version, where you skid 'round the corners, I was better at that one, can't remember it's full title though....
