what other consoles do you collect for?

Just out of general curiosity

I collect MS, Megadrive, Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1

I own a PS2 as well, but i wouldnt say i "collect" for that since i only have about 14 games.. maybe later.

Out of all of those though my master system collection wins hands down.

Genesis-40 games, model 1 and 2 systems
32X- 2 systems 13 games
Dreamcast- 62 games. 3 systems

and I have a complete brand new collection of tiger game.com systems and games.

in the past ive collected all kinds of games systems but my biggest ones have been the following

master system
amiga
snes
mega drive
game gear
arcade jamma boards
c64

but the same !the only that has stuck is the sms ,i had a huge collection of jamma boards but the space they took up was daft so i sold them to a friend,my c64,megadrive,game gear collections were pretty simple

c64 around 100 games
game gear around 20
mega drive around 80

but my snes colection is at about 75 games (76 i think) but im selling them at the moment due to buying a ps2.
my amiga collection was very good but i sold all that sometime ago which was a shame but it had to be done

ive also started collecting spectrum,nes,lynx,msx ect ect but it never quite got there

but i have to say that the most enjoyment i ever got was from my arcade jamma boards ,double dragon,shinobi.final fight,2 crude dudes,street fighter,sunset riders, the list cant end but i had a jamma cab in my room and in the end it just stopped working and then i got a super gun and that stopped working so i just gave it all up

NES (don't even remember how many games)
I started this about 8 years ago, got everything I wanted save a few games. I haven't really looked in awhile. Culminated with me moderating at NESworld and then writing the guide for collecting NES games.

Genesis
Had this for awhile, my brother and I pick up what we can when we see it. Don't really have anything rare or anything, just stuff I like to play.

SNES
Same as with Genesis.

Atari Jaguar
Ah yes, the little known Jaguar. I have a bunch of games for this but I rarely play it unless I want to laugh. Good for Dragon's Lair, though.

SMS
Just starting really getting into this last year or thereabouts. Going nuts for it currently. Playing every day, buying ridiculous amounts of game in bulk.

How I forgot to mention I collect SMS games and systems is beyond me I have a complete US SMS game collection, and around 25-30 imports from the UK and Brazil. I dont own too many different system variations, but these are the ones I own:

Original US SMS with Snail MAze built in-5 systems, 1 boxed complete

US SMS II system with Alex Kidd built in- 1 system

MS Super Compact with Sonic Built in- 1 system

MS Super Compact with Super Futebol II built in- 1 complete system

I had three UK SMS II systems and 9 UK games incoming from ebay, but the guy ripped me off and kept my paypal

ZX Spectrum - 40 games (including games like green baret, target renagade, street fighter, captain america and spiderman in doctor doom´s castle and the fabolous target renegade )

SMS - 250 games
Game Gear - 15 games
Megadrive - 23 games
Dreamcast - (only) 3 games

Snes - 14 games
N 64 - 22 games

PSX - 41 games
ps2 - 27 games

well, it´s obvious the SMS is my big passion...

I've noticed that my collecting habits can be put into three catagories:

1. I am trying to get every game no matter what it is for these consoles.

Sega Master System
Tiger Game.com

2. Although I am not specifically trying to get every game for these consoles I will buy any game for it if I happen to come across it.

Atari Jaguar

3. I only buy games for these consoles if they are rare or if I like the game.

Otherwise I don't class getting games for my PS2, Gamecube or GBA as collecting as they are too new.

I would put in a game count for each console but I haven't counted them for over a year. I guess I just don't want to know how much money I've spent on them all.

I've got 280 mastersystem,520 megadrive , the 2 collections i've been concentrating on most.Then about 250 snes,30 saturn,30 n64,70 nes,15 gamecube,40 ps1,oh i forgot about my precious mega cd collection 80,cd 32x 2,32x 18,jaguar only cybermorph.All these games are different no 2 games the same.

You know, I have yet to see anyone that collects the MSX. I thought that was pretty popular in Europe. I guess not, no one here seems to collect it.

did you ever complete the arcade shinobi? i remember it was seeing shinobi for the first time that made me get a master system!!

i guess i forgot to mention my c64 and spectrum.. those are up in the loft still boxed and in mint condition.. i hope! havent saw them in years! i think i have a couple of hundred games each for them, all tapes though, no cartridges for the c64.

i remeber wishing all the dizzy games would come out on the master system.

I collect for all Sega systems, but primarily Master System & Megadrive at the moment.

Current totals are around:

SMS - 252 (with another 6 or 7 in the post )
Megadrive - 200ish
MegaCD - 20
32X - 4
Gamegear - 30ish
Saturn - 40
Dreamcast - 70ish

I dabble in the GX4000 aswell, and have recently started picking up Intellivision games after finding the console.
Anything else I'll grab if it's a good price (I've got 20ish consoles), but don't really collect avidly.
