Hey All,
I'm 22 from Ireland and the Sega Master System was the first console i ever owned. Recently dug my console out of the attic and have begun collecting all those games i wanted as a kid and never had!
Found the site thanks to the recent edition of Retro Gamer!
Great to see a place for SMS fans to talk, swap games etc. and very impressed to hear that there are people making homebrew games, i'm in IT myself and would love to take a stab at this in my spare time!
Anyway, look foward to chatting to you all soon!

Welcome to the site, I'm glad that Retro Gamer has directed a few more fans to this place.
Whats your aims, just to collect the games you wanted but never had or keep going till you have everything?

Thanks. I love the sega master system, and i've grown more and more passionate about collecting the games, peripherals etc. So yeah i'd love to collect as much as possible, i'd love to have one of every game - though its not for making a profit in years to come or anything like that, not so worried about each game being complete with manual etc. Just passionate about the system and the games, so i'd love to own every game, have played them, used all peripherals (oh! to own a pair of 3d glasses! etc. And its great to have found a place were i can get info and advice and generally share conversations and opinions on the sms.

Welcome to the site. I'd recommend trying to get games complete with manuals if you can. You don't want to end up deciding later you want the manuals and have to buy games a second time to get them. Plus you can usually get games complete just as cheap as incomplete ones with a bit of searching

Welcome to the site. I'd recommend trying to get games complete with manuals if you can. You don't want to end up deciding later you want the manuals and have to buy games a second time to get them. Plus you can usually get games complete just as cheap as incomplete ones with a bit of searching Amen to that. I was so eager to start my collection I picked up a lot of boxed games without the manual whenever I could, and I've had to replace them all since. Even if you don't want to sell off your collection (really, who here is collecting for that sole purpose?), the SMS is a great system to collect and display, thanks to that beautiful uniform packaging and the sturdy boxes. Welcome to the site, it's always nice to see another people trying to relive the memories!
