There are some amazing soundtracks on the SMS, and remarkably, most of them were done by only a handful of talented composers. Which one is your favorite?
Katsuhiro Hayashi: Rambo, Black Belt, Fantasy Zone: The Maze, Galaxy Force, Quartet, Global Defense
Yuzo Koshiro: Sonic the Hedgehog, Streets of Rage, Ys
Hiroshi Miyauchi: After Burner, Out Run, Fantasy Zone: The Maze, Space Harrier, Dynamite Dux, Enduro Racer
Shinichi Sakamoto: Wonder Boy, Wonder Boy in Monster Land, Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap, Wonder Boy in Monster World
Tokuhiko "Bo" Uwabo: Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Zillion, Castle of Illusion, Fantasy Zone, Phantasy Star, Space Harrier, Ys

Whoever composed Castle of Illusion wins my vote -- so yeah, Uwabo.

Great topic. Definitely "Bo" for me, but Sakamoto san isn't far behind. Wonder Boy III is my favourite soundtrack for the SMS.

Funny to think people actually composed the electronic bleeps and bloops that make up SMS music. No favourite for. Some music sucked, some was good. "Bo" did good work on the 16-bit Sonic titles though. Along with Michael Jackson for Sonic 3

whoever done golden axe warrior I wish there was a more definitive list than SMS Power to find out who scored what. I'd love to know who scored that, the other ALEX KIDD games, PENGUIN LAND, SHINOBI, etc. It's an artform, man!
