So my mum has been clearing out my old bedroom - it's taken her a long time as I left home 15 years ago. Anyway she has found my old master system and the sega that came after that one - I can't remember what it's called, and she wants rid. Should I bin them or is it worth bringing the home to sell if they are worth anything or do I just need to give them away? Thanks kim

Sell sell sell.. ebay is your best bet, 1 big auction or split down into smaller ones.
If you list all you have here, you will get a good valuation of what its worth.

Give them away- I bet me and Marc will have room for them between us lol
Seriously though, I agree with Marc about posting on here but afterwards I would do a slightly different approach......but I'll explain why.
I would test everything, every game, controller etc, if you sell it is better to sell as tested, rather than not used for however many years. I wouldn't use ebay, I have sold 160+ mega drive games in the last 2 weeks, I haven't used ebay once, I have only had to send one package abroad, and that was only 2 games, I am still getting messages asking if I could sell more. Forums, facebook groups etc are your friend, but please make sure you read the terms or the moderators on the sites could ban you before you get anything sold or any info.
If you have ms stuff, you will get fair valuations here, if you have MD stuff then I can help, I don't want to sound arrogant but the amount I have sold recently of ms and md, I will be able to help

Thanks for your help
i have collected the stuff and it is a tangle of wires so I will definitely need to sort it out and test it. But this is what there is: console - the first one joystick control pad - missing the the face plate thing on the direction bit laser gun
prince of Persia golden axe warrior special criminal investigation operation wolf shadow dancer super tennis olympic gold -'92 outrun Alien storm sonic 2 the jungle book teddy boy
the other console is actually a Saturn not the one that came after the master system. thanks again. kim

If everything is in decent condition i would expect £100 for the ms stuff.
Seperate golden axe warrior and bundle the rest.
If you can take pictures i can help more accurately with values

I haven't managed to get it set up yet, may have to come back for help if that's ok. I will have a go tonight when the kids are in bed.

So I can't get the laser gun or the teddy boy card to work but everything seems to work ok. Playing the games did take me back and I thought about keeping it for a while but it would end up back on a cardboard box slots time for them to find a new home.

The laser gun doesn't work on modern TVs. You need an old CRT (not 100Hz). See here.
