I have a pal master system 2 as I am in England, and after a while of playing the built in sonic the hedgehog long enough to get to the bridge stage, the colour fades away but not on the map screens, to get the colour back I need to turn off the MS for about 10 minutes. When I fine tune and get colour back, my MS automatically tunes me back to black and white. Please help!

Do you have any other console that runs through RF you could try just in case its the TV? I have an Nes and an Atari 2600. They run perfectly. I played long enough to get to the jungle stage and colour comes back! I've tried playing the master system on a different tv it works fine. I guess the tv hates sega, therefore i must hate it. Thanks for your help!

TV specific? Well I tried playing my DC through an LCD TV via RF and the corners were all kinds of messed up. On a CRT? Fine. SCART on the LCD? Fine. Not savvy enough with the tech specifics to know why but clearly the RF input was the issue - I assume the same here.
RF via SMS or SNES on my current CRT can be noisy and clears up if you rotate the input in the socket to a sweet spot. Guess it's just not a great connection, RF.

It's pretty terrible all round, avoid where possible! You can buy a scart adaptor to fit the port on the back of the MS 1 from ebay so well worth looking into.

the ms2 is underrated, ms1's are funny with codemasters games, a good rf lead while not perfect by a long way at least is functional if only to play codemasters stuff (i have 2 model 2's, and completely replaced all rf cables as they were on their way out, looks nice enough)

Well I was forced to get a new old tv. I was playing 2600 when the tv started sizzling the screen was really weird static bars and smoke was billowing from the vents. Well my new tv works perfectly with all of my consoles and even has av ports so i can use my NES in higher quality. So YAY and BOO.
