I've gotten 5 packages sent in a bubble mailer over the last couple days, and everyone of them has arrived damaged.
I'm going to have a lot of Master System cases to replace (good luck finding a spare SMS Action Replay by the way) because the sellers wanted to save a couple of bucks.
It's so frustrating to think these things survived 20+ years relatively intact, only to wind up smashed because someone was too lazy to take the extra 5 minutes to find a spare cardboard box, get some packing tape, and crumple up some old newspaper, plastic shopping bags or other inexpensive packing material.

Well said. I have had this same issue. I was fortunate that the damage was minor, but still it was not damaged before they sent the item.

I never had many problems with bubble envelopes. Sometimes a few corners got broken, but otherwise my games always arrived safely.

I always sell my items case open in bubble wrap that way they only cost £2.25 to post second class recorded. Ive never had any complaints. Problem with ebay is your only allowed to charge max £3 p & p for a game and that wouldnt cover a game in a box recorded. I always offer for people to pay more for postage as an option but nobody as ever selected it lol.

I've always seen the normal SMS cases in particular as sturdy, and have always sent single games in bubble-envelopes because of that, and I yet have to hear any complaints.
I'm not familiar with how carriers distribute stuff, but if the game is being sent as a letter in a bubbled envelope, I doubt it'll get crushed if it's ending up with all other mail items. You'd really have to frisbee the thing around to do some real damage.
What I do know however is that some employees on the carrier facilities have little regard for the items they handle, and I know from people that have worked there that they do play every kind of sport with the things you and I pay expensive fees to pack and send.

Never had any issues with these either really. Maybe something to do with your local sorting office or letterbox? Having delivered leaflets before I have seen plenty of letterboxes that are way too stiff and could imagine the postie damaging something.

Whenever I buy only one or two games from a single seller, I send an email asking for a rigid cardboard box with enough bubblewraps. And a online tracking number of course.
Worse disappointment ever was a WKK remote controller bought brand new. The seller put the stamp ON THE CONTROLLER BOX, wrote my adress ON THE CONTROLLER BOX and shipped it this way, I got MAD rofl

I've had that happen with retro consoles in the past. I bought an Atari ST computer and the seller just stuck a label to its box then covered it in tape, was furious! Ruined it completely.

I can understand sending games packed with the box open but sometimes these cases don't like to be opened flat, having been closed for 20+ years. I've had a couple posted this way and the case seam/crease has started to crack. Nothing major but its added damage to an otherwise mint game.
