Woody pop is the only Japanese card game that has a header file, so it works on a UK (or US) console. The Bios in these console expects a header or the game wont work, which is the reason the other Japanese card games dont play. But, theres a bug in the game which means its uncontrollable, even with the original Paddle controller it still doesnt work. I tried it with old Atari paddle controllers but that didnt work either. But just as i had given up, i tried the trusty old Sports pad, and it works! You need to switch it to Control mode to get past the title screen, then switch it to Sports to choose difficulty and play the game. Its not very easy to play with, especially as the sports pad turns forever, but the paddle controller only turns a set distance. But it is playable, and ive made it past the first levels after a few attempts. Its much nicer playing it on a Japanese console with the paddle controller, but for anyone with the game but no Jap machine, now you can play it

That's great, it's a shame both my controllers don't work very well. They just stop working after a while, I bet your hand hurts after a long session...... ;D

I always thought the good olde SP would work with it since it works well with Power Block. Must get the pop.

Woody Pop is a genius game, but I've playing it this afternoon and I'm stuck on one level! You know the level with the solid wooden blocks in the form of castle turrets. I can get to the clear blocks, but usually on my last life nd the ball moves that fast I find it impossible aarrrgghh

Haha!! Yeah, it's actually a pretty good game! That's one of the reasons I'm definately glad I got the SMS3, it has quite a few games I'd probably never get hold of otherwise! (even though a lot of them are cack!!).
