I´ve noticed that many of the board moderators are rarely active. Maybe there are some new moderators needed? I offer my help and maybe there are other daily active members around here who are ready to help as well Let me know what you guys think, please.

Personally I don't think there's need for extra moderators, as the forum is pretty dead especially the last couple months. Also, we almost know each other as a small community. Please don't take me wrong Gordman. Your suggestion reveals once again that you really care about this place.

There isn't very much to moderate at the moment. Hardly anyone posts on here now; over the course of a day, there are probably about three posts, if that.
I hope this place improves because I like the forum as well and it would be a shame if it wasn't here anymore.

I've noticed over the years I've been on the boards that things tend to ebb and flow a bit. I'm pretty bad for not posting much or at all, though I've always been more of a lurker! Hopefully things pick up, I'd be bummed out, as would many others, without the sega8bit forum!

I would think that after someone completes a collection they would be on here to discuss the games and assist newer collectors with advise and ideas. I understand that some will not and as soon as they get that last game they will never be heard from again. This forum (unlike a forum for TV Shows) relies on collectors interest and not "new episodes" or "new releases". I like this community and I think there is a vast amount of knowledge to be found here.

I don't see any harm with taking on new mods, but at the same time there's not really a pressing need for it. Personally I still read lots but don't always have the time to post anywhere near as much as I used to, and there are very rarely any times that a mod needs to step in or edit anything. The forum won't ever disappear as long as the core of members are here that always help out with hosting costs etc.

If the position became available I would love to be considered (I moderate elsewhere and have been super moderator level for about 4 years now) But it's all hypothetical anyway

The proboards App have me the chance to start reading stuff and making a few posts ( nothing like 10 years ago...). Hope This fórum never ends because i believe in it's relevance to the SMS Community. Cheers.

Thanks for your kind offers to help with moderation. To be honest though, very little moderation is required on the forum. On the rare occassion we do get any spam or other issues, it's quickly sorted by other Playgen or myself.
The forum has got quieter recently and it's a shame to see people disappear but the site will be around for at least as long as I can keep it going. Should we got a surge of activity and more moderation is needed, I'll definitely take you guys up on your offers.
