bit of an update on my situation, on a saturday we have 5 or 6 people working, on meet day i have been put in as one of those, I asked to be off 2-3 months ago and should never have been asked to go in, i have now had 2 emails sent round the department asking for people to cover for me, there is only one person that has said they will try and rearrange what they are doing to help me, i wont know until at least tomorrow if she is swapping or not
cross your fingers for me guys, if i have to work i will be up for about 2pm, hopefully earlier (will get some dinner when i get there), if i am not working i'll be helping with setup as previously mentioned
i'm really sorry to appear so flakey guys but you all know this isnt my fault, please bare in mind that these emails in to work have been sent round by my friends while i have been off

I was just about to tweet stew about it, opened the app and ian got there first, good work ian I'll post on the facebook group, no idea if any uk based regulars are on there that will come but it costs nothing to try. will get in touch with jono too (the guy from last year, we kept in touch, met up at playexpo and have been talking about another meet up since) Do we want it mentioning on other sites? it got mentioned last year on retrogamer and retrocollect but i think that was more in error than anything. Still working on getting time off to be around to set up

I've sent Paul an email and am just waiting to hear back. Do we want it mentioning on other sites? it got mentioned last year on retrogamer and retrocollect but i think that was more in error than anything. Hope you manage to get the time off. As for mentioning the event on other sites, I tend not to. It's more of a intimate gathering than a gaming event. I'm more than happy for anyone to come if they're interested but I'm not sure a large turnout would be manageable.

I just posted to SMS Power (somewhat belatedly), but I suspect all the relevant people are already aware.

Well as long as it don't all go Dash-con....................... We will have more gaming machines out than they did. If I can drum up a bit more interest from some none site members it would work out for the better for both sides On a side note I got my own games night on the 29th in FAB Cafe also if anyone can get hold of some decent CRTs off sites like Freecycle I could do with some spares

If Stu and Paul can make it then I think it will be fine. Obviously a few more is cool too but I think if it got beyond 15 it might get difficult if everyone is taking part in the games comp etc. Speaking of which, have we sorted a comp out yet?

I hope so too mate, I feel really bad about how this sitation has made me look in front of people, one minute I'm saying I can go to Mike's and help with transporting stuff and the next work have gone against what I have asked and I have to change everything, if Phil hadnt come to the rescue we would be quite royally screwed. I have one more person I am waiting to hear back from, if Clare cant help me I am in a bit of a sticky siutaion, I will still come but it would be about 2pm, I finish work at 1pm at salford quays, as we are classed as working out of normal hours we have to sign out (every out of hours person) which is a ballache. I'll bring an ms and leads etc with me if its needed, i can stuff that in a bag etc, I wouldnt be driving up from work as manchester is a nightmare especially with my awful navigation skills, one way or another I will be there for at least some of it

If Mike doesn't live too far and nobody else can drive to his house to help I'm sure we could do 2 trips if I can't fit it in my car.
But saying that how many TV's do we need? I have a spare 14" TV which used to be main gaming tele back in the day. My mum might have another portable which takes av and scart. If Mike has 2 decent 14" TV's, then with my one or possibly 2 that would make 4 or 5 if we bring along his 21" beast too!
Stick with the MS 1 so we don't have dodgy rf connection problems...

I am tempted to Compo mod my MS2, dont want to bugger it up as its the Master system I was given as a kid
I think
21" one for competitions I think, as long as they arent foreign consoles its fine. the 21" and main 14" crts I use are easy to tune
