Hello, here a little presentation of my new cartmodding.
It's the adaptation of the Game Gear game, The GG Shinobi.
All the credit for the adaptation come to Vingazole. Thanks a lot to him.
Here a video of the game with my Master System 1 on 60Hz.
I used the covers of The GG Shinobi II 'cause the covers of The GG Shinobi 1 sucks. Thanks to n3o for the help.
The button start is configure with the button up of the controler 2.
Please no personal message for asking me the rom.
Have fun watching the video with some fail of me ;D
Best regards.

Nice. The enemy popup will probably be very hard to avoid, but I reckon you could improve the intro in various places. It might also be possible to move the starting positions over a bit to avoid the strangeness at the start of each level, and also to make it draw in the level more to the left after you lose a life.
Also, an SMS port would have removed the Sega splash screen.

We spoke with vingazole and we are ok to not give the rom to anybody on internet, so please no personal message for asking the rom. I just told you that it was "work in progress" and that I would let you release it if you wished, but not that I wouldn't give the ROM to anyone else !

Hope this becomes available to the public, otherwise whats the point of this post? to horde the game and piss everyone off? cause that seems like the direction this is going to take.

Great, I mentioned that this was my no.1 wish for a conversion two years ago, and here it is being worked on. I am really looking forward to a public release, since it's a shame that the GG Shinobi games have both never been rereleased on other systems (actually, I just saw it was rereleased on the 3DS VC this year, but that's also a handheld so it does not count for me). Say, any idea on how much work it would be to do GG Shinobi II as well? I mean, just from the looks of it the game seems little more than some new levels for the same game; maybe some of the GG Shinobi work can be used to do part 2 as well? Dreaming even further I'd love to see it on one cart... "The GG Shinobi Legend" with a new title screen and a game selector.... But I'll settle for just a good conversion too.^^

The GG Shinobis (along with Ax Battler and Haley Wars) are the main reason I still turn my Game Gear on. Honestly, at this point in its life, it's such a finicky console, I never trust a game when it is on it for fear the power will just randomly go out if I move the AC cable even the slightest bit. To have the GG Shinobis ported to the SMS would be real awesome. Not sure why you'd use the cover for the second game, I think the first one is fine and, well, why confuse things? Great to see it up and running on the SMS though and your work is admirable.
It has been about 5 months now...any updates?

Nougat has moved to Canada for a while as far as I know. He visits many countries from time to time. I´m have no contact directly to him, but I guess it needs some time until he´s back in this forum here.

This question is probably best directed to Vingazole on SMS Power or SMS France.

Nice title screen! Looks really interesting, especially the fact that the Game Gear version is completely different from the Master System one.
