Yeah, I really don't see how this is a failure. A section of the forum specifically for this matter is superfluous, since this fits, as Aypok said, already under the development section!

Just create a new thread in the development forum for each game. For fakey reproductions, everyone apparently wants to kill people who make those anyway. I missed the poll, but Aypok and Maxim sum my opinion up quite well.

On this subject, I bought someone's collection because he didn't have time to sell it separately. It included a near complete SMS PAL library (missing 3 uncommon games) but all the big hitters were repros or copies. He claims, and my people skills tell me he was speaking the truth, that he didn't even know they were repros or copies. He never buys online and found them all on flea markets. Smurfs 2 he bought for a fiver, Power Strike II, Buggy Run, Masters of Combat and a couple more were repros. Then some others were the real cart but with a photocopy as cover. Perhaps ex rentals (the latter) or a teenager who wanted to display them better? Either way, sometimes they get sold without people's knowledge as well. I know I was disappointed to see those 4 big guns faked

Yeah that sucks Joke. Man. That's my only problem with repros of games that were officially released. Except in certain rare cases, like TecToy metallic stickers on some later-run games, you pretty much cannot tell the different between a repro and a real release (at least in terms of the insert). That's the one bad thing about insert games as opposed to boxes. They may stand up to wear-and-tear better, but you can fake them like the dickens.

No repro has (to my knowledge) matched the silver grid ink, and a trained eye can spot a colour photocopy from an original printed cover. Both are impossible to test in an eBay photo, though.
Maybe we should set up some kind of service where people can send a game, we say it's not a repro, seal it in plastic and charge loads of money...

I've (thankfully) never seen a reproduction that correctly replicates the SMS grid. Sounds like a good business plan though

Hhahaah, sadly it would probably work, just look at the VGA. What a joke. Hmm, so there is actually a visible different? The only reason I question is because the first Mickey's Ultimate Challenge I purchased looked totally legit, the only way I could tell the different from the real one was the metallic sticker on it when I got the latter (thus why I mentioned that). What are you referring to specifically?

Id like to see Shining Force Gaiden: Final Conflict be made.
