Picked up a Switch a few days ago. I'm going to preorder the physical release of Wonder Boy: The Dragon's Trap. I like how you can change between HD and 8-bit visuals at the press of a button.

Loved playing through this classic and I dig the art style used in the modern visuals. I'm making a pre-order on Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom. Just bought a megadrive (1st series) Quackshot and Hellfire (loved those games) also bought some cartridge from amazon which aparently has 112 games on it. Will collect for the megadrive however not boxed games due to space (unless I get them at a decent price). Also bought the SNES mini.
Looking forward to the Playstation Mini
Gradually building a collection of my personal retro items

Went to the Video Game Market in Doncaster a few days ago. That's like the third one they've had this year, and no, I haven't been to them all, I missed the August event but was at the March one earlier this year. It was on this last Sunday so let us know if you were there and what you picked up.
I thought it was a bit sparse this time around, but there was still loads of stuff to browse and buy. I guess I'm just comparing it to others I've been to and honestly, it was still lots of fun.
Saying that it wasn't all that great earlier masks the fact that this time I spent more than I ever have done at these events. It kinda boiled down to me being picky about titles I desire coupled with the price tag of said desirables. Also, this is the fifth time I've been but only the first time I've actually bought any Sony product.
I didn't get everything I wanted, and sadly I didn't score any of the Master System games I had on my list which was a tad disappointing. However I did find a nice score for the Saturn. Here is what I walked away with;
• N64 - Diddy Kong Racing - £20 complete • N64 - CastleVania 64 - £15 - cart only • PS1 - Capcom Generations - £20 complete • PS1 - Divers Dream - £5 complete • PS1 - X2 No Relief - £7 complete • PS1 - Worms Armageddon - £5 complete • PS1 - Controller - £5 • Saturn - Daytona USA C.C.E. - £15 complete • Saturn - Shining The Holy Ark - £60 complete

Recently got the interest to start a small collection of the SEGA Dreamcast, so I've bought myself a few bits and bobs, including some sealed (including blister packed controllers) "old new stock". Though sadly, well for some, not for me , they didn't stay sealed

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Hope you've all had a good time.
Couple of things I got over the period;
• Switch - SEGA Megadrive Classics - used an Amazon gift card • Switch - SEGA AGES: Phantasy Star - around £6 • Saturn - Christmas NiGHTS into Dreams - £6
Loving the classics, picked up the Sega Ages PS too because I really liked the SMS game and the Mega drive Classics only has PS 2/3/4. Christmas NiGHTS was an import but it's practically all in English.

Decided to buy this just before the new year: It's housing a Raspberry Pi 3 b+ running Retropie. It's a lovely little computer, and perfect for bringing retro gaming with you when travelling!

The blue Mega Drive controller looks cool!
I didn't know about it, just googled it and will definitely get one. Does it feel high quality, like the original?
