Something to add, Psycho Fox re-release. It has red cart, but made in Japan box (1989) and 1990 manual on non-slick paper. Has anyone heard of this!? I don't think that's a re-release. I'm pretty sure most of the late booklets were on non gloss paper. Then again, are you saying you have gloss and non gloss booklets?

I saw on of those "software" boxes in a master system auction not too long ago. I think it's just a generic box or possibly a rental. It would be strange for Sega to have special packaging for demo carts. Also, Zaxxon 3D was never a kiosk cart: I think you're right about Zaxxon 3-D which pretty much answers this then. I'll have to take that box info down.

"Sega Master System Sega Scope 3-D (Built in Missile Defense 3D?)"
Just so you know, the SMS I just bought at my local store must be this "scope 3D" version you speak of. The game built in is Missile Defense 3D. I can't really play it as (while I have access to 3rd party glasses) I don't have the adapter, but I found out about the game when my choplifter cart wasn't pushed all the way in before I hit power.
I hope that helps your write up.

"Activision - Ghostbusters (Licensed from Activision)"
Ghostbusters, while licensed from Activision, was released by Sega as a 1rst party game. You're missing the Activision 3rd party game Galaxy Force. The artwork was silver and had Activision in the lower right hand corner. Ghostbusters came with the standard white artwork. Activision was the only company to use non-white artwork (red for Rampage, silver for Galaxy Force and black for Bomber Raid and Cyborg Hunter). Parker Bros and Seismic also stuck with the standard white artwork.

I was finally able to get ahold of one of those iron on patches. I can make a large scan if you're still interested in it for a T-shirt.

Unreleased gamesUltima IV - Shown in Sega Visions issue #1 page 6 I hate to bump an old thread but I have been trying to disprove this little piece right here for a while now. First and foremost, I bought this game brand new at Toys R Us in the very early 90's. It was in Oklahoma City at the Toys R Us that is still in the same location as then. They had a normal Vidpro card for this game to show its availability. The game had the same multi language case that is seen normally. With the help of Centrale, I have also located older magazines showing that this game was indeed available in the states. Review done by EGM : Review done by GamePro : The ad in Sega Visions mentioned above :

Do you recall if it had the US UPC sticker like the other 4 imported UPC games? That's not to say it can't have been sold in the US without one but just curious.

When I left for the Navy in early 93, my mom tossed all my game stuff in the trash to try to get me to quit playing games .... obviously it didnt work. I also bought Basketball nightmare at the same place, same time, same situation. That game was more for my brother cause he is a huge B-ball fan. I just cant find any proof of that one being around here.

Just FYI the list needs to include Shinobi (Box Error 5 missions 15 rounds Sega for the 90's) I recently had one and sold it in a lot on Sega 16. I have pics.

This list is very useful - I have some comments:
- I have an Alex Kidd in Miracle World cart that has "Made in Taiwan" on the back. Probably another variant? I got it off eBay, it came in a "Made in Japan" box, so not sure if these originally came together, probably not I guess.
- I have a Hang-On/Safari Hunt with a CHINA sticker on the back of the cart, and a sticker on the back of the box too. Just thought I'd confirm this since you have it in red.
I can take a picture of these if that helps.
