Hi Guys, im not sure if i'm blind or not but is there a section on the forums open to discuss Emulation? And if not could one be added? Theres a some discussions i'd like to talk about in there and It may help new users to the site who have problems with particular emulators, hardware or system settings.
Thanks,
thund.

Yeah, I agree. An emulation section would be a good addition.

I think users here tend to use smspower.org for emulation discussion as they are more active in that area. I think, could be wrong?

I would have thought smspower covered emulation discussions as well.

No offense to them or the suggestion, but what would you discuss exactly?

No offense to them or the suggestion, but what would you discuss exactly? Topics like technical questions, which is the best emulator, other stuff. And as some emulators feature online gaming abilities (Kega Fusion for example and it works pretty good), maybe starting some tournaments or just find people to play against them I don't know if it's really that needed, but i don't see a problem with it. It would be better to have everything at one place then to spread it out over different websites. SMSPower surely is a good website but some people just don't want to register themself on many different sites and forums.

I'm not sure it needs an entire section, maybe just a dedicated stickied thread. Not quite sure which section it would currently fall under though. I was ready to suggest it... Has this ever been done? I think it would be great fun! I've been trying to find someone to play online SMS with for ages. If anyone's interested, hit me up. I think Gens might be the best Emulator to use but I couldn't be sure.

I've played Kega SMS netplay before and found it to work very well, provided you get the port forwarding set up.

I use Fusion and i've played Netplay on it once and it worked fine (after we found out we had to change the options so we weren't both the number one player). Though it was NHL '94 for the MD.

Just tried Gens and it turns out the netplay isn't so great after all.
Would probably be best off using Kega then as everyone else has recommended. It might be a good idea to Skype at the same time I reckon. Anyone else up for giving this a go? I'm free most evenings, say 7-9pm GMT.

I use fusion as well because I like being able to use the one emulator for all the 8/16/32 bit sega systems

This is rather pointless and only fun for me. But I changed the bios today for Fusion so I got the boot up screen and sound i'm used to. This one that is: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETytDSLg7-YSo awesome...

Hmmm, well, I guess we could try it and see what happens. I just didn't want the forum to look too cluttered. Where would you put it in the list you guys?
