Hi I am currently working on a master 1 and was hoping someone could save me some time and help me out. I would like to change the colour of the square panel with the flow chart and the long thin panel running along the front with power, controllers, card input on it.
I have seen this done before and as my photoshop skills aren't the best was hoping someone may already have made something up or know where i can get a digital recreation of these panels.

Ive done this a few times but the files are on my old computer which is currently broken and has been for some years. However you really dont need much photoshop skills to do it, the hardist part is cutting it out well when its printed. All you need to do is peel off the old stickers carefully using a knife then scan them in. You can use a failry basic bit of software to change the colours, doesnt have to be photoshop. i just used the software that came free with my scanner. Then print them out on some nice high quality paper, either glossy photo paper or matt with stickyback plastic over. Use an art or surgical scalpul, metal ruler and cutting mat to cut them out. It really really is worth paying the extra for good cutting equipment like this and ot will last you for years. Stick them on using double sided tape, its fantastic stuff! Most important.. Please post a pic of your finished mod on the forum

Thanks for your advice Rupert, very helpful stuff. The Master System you have done looks great! My hope is to take the aesthetics of an Atari 2600 Woody (the best looking vintage console in my opinion) and recreate a Master System (the best vintage console for games, again in my opinion). Its going to be a long process as one arm is out of action at the moment due to an elbow operation, so its all research at the moment but I will definitely post photos when I am done.
Thanks again for your advice.

That White & Blue that you have as an avatar is really epic...
Wonder if it would be as awesome in Black & Red.

That White & Blue that you have as an avatar is really epic... Wonder if it would be as awesome in Black & Red. It was epic trying to make it! It took hours to cut out each letter I think I did a good job though as when it appeared in Retro Gamer magazine the caption was something along the lines of 'we didnt even know this variation existed!'. Its really good fun creating an sms mod though, I would do it again if I found myself with a spare week.

rupert: That white SMS with the blue lettering is a thing of beauty! One of the nicest casemods I've seen for ANY system. Amazing work!
