If I can nab a better score - and I'm sure I have done better - then I'll post a photo. I intend to give it a few plays at the weekend and see how I get on. Cool, video it and get in the record books! I think we should start a thread for getting in the twin galaxies pages, there's loads of SMS games that don't even have high scores set yet.

Gotta find a way to hold the pad without it killing. Weapon 2 is the way forward... but only if you have hands of steel to hold 2 and 1 for the whole game. Just topped the million on my first play for a good while, but made one mistake on level 5 and got destroyed.
I love this game though. The music to level 4 is my alarm call...

Rubbish. I got close to my benchmark and even took a photo... but apparently I can send things to my phone through Bluetooth but I can't send from my ancient phone to my PC because Microsoft cannot get sensible drivers sorted out for 64 bit Windows 7. I'll have to power up my old camera, if it still works, and give it another bash at some point. I died midway through level 4 at a point where I'd have had a tonne of baddies to slaughter if I'd have stayed alive, otherwise I'd have nailed it.
Edit: I'd love to shoot for the official record, but don't have the means to record it. I could feed it through my HDD-DVD recorder, but it's tough to play through that - there are some serious lag issues as every other frame seems to be missing. I nailed Super Aleste on the SNES whilst recording it, but that game is considerably easier than this one!!

I've broken the million point mark now, made it a little way through level 5 and just got hammered . I've been practising with weapon 1 and once you power it up it's pretty strong, you've just got to tap the direction button rather than keep it pressed when moving, this keeps your blue fire in front of you. The advantage is you never need to dodge bullets to get a weapon as it's infinite. I reckon I'll be able to master this one in the next few weeks, I just need to have a break between plays or else I feel burnt out and make stupid mistakes, which in turn makes me angry ;D. I'm playing Running Battle inbetween ATM, keep dying on the last boss . I've taken a pic but I'm not posting it, I'm determined to finish this .

I wasn't going to post a pic until I'd finished it, but this score takes me up a notch . I got to the mothership on level 5 without losing a life, one careless mistake cost me the game! I managed to straggle on to what I presume is the last boss of level 5 and came painfully close to finishing it off, but without my gun being powered up I didn't really stand a chance. My score: 1,322,570. I'm gonna finish this damn game if it kills me, on one life too. Watch your back Transatlantic Foe, I'm after that top spot .

Nagdammit I'm getting close to finishing this ;D. My last three goes I've managed to get a fair way into level 6, but every time I've made a balls up on level 5 so have gone into it without any power ups! The normal enemies don't cause me too many problems powered down but some of the mid level bosses just fire too much to avoid witha bog standard weapon! I reckon I'm gonna finish this today, need a rest though as my hands are cramping up, when my left arm goes I don't stand a chance . My new high: 1,710,860EDIT: This game is driving me mad, I get to level 6 every time I play and always die around the same spot . I'm giving it a break for a few days, rest assured I will be back though, I'm not gonna let this game beat me ;D.

The worst part in level 6 is when they throw the motherships (mainly the two which follow you, forcing you to charge up the screen) at you but this time you have other enemies to worry about. And those annoying plates in the floor which when shot stick up (kills you on contact) then drop down at you!
Weapon 1 is handy fully powered up (basically so it can kill red bullets). I do love how you get different enemy patterns depending on what weapon you have.
One lifing it is doable - I managed it once. But because the longer you live, the more it throws at you, by the time you get to level 6 it's a nightmare. If you die in level 5, level 6 is quite a bit easier because the rank has been reset earlier.
Also - if you do manage to complete it, choose Continue when you get back to the title screen!

Nice going mate. I still can't break level 6... I'll get there though... not content with 3rd place on this one!

Nice going mate. I still can't break level 6... I'll get there though... not content with 3rd place on this one! I'd say third place is quite good for this game, especially with a score above a million! I've stopped worrying about the score now, just want to finish it . My mate told me you get 2,000,000 points for killing the last boss. Have you tried using weapon 1? You need to power it up 3 times, but once it reaches full power so you can eliminate red bullets it's great. Being able to shoot behind you comes in really handy from level 4 onwards, the amount of times it's saved me from those damn rotating bullets is unbelievable ;D!
