finished it!!!! Awww I thought I might beat you at a game for once, no fair! Keep practising and maybe you will . It gets pretty easy when you find a decent route. It's really hard to get new subscribers on Hard Way compared to the other too levels so concentrate on delivering as many papers as possible .

It's been awhile, but I seem to remember you can pass on to the other roads if you beat the first one, correct? Or do they just score you per road if you make it through a week? I've completed all 3 difficulty settings now, and unfortunately once you finish a Street, that's it, back to the menu. The only way to score high on this one is to master Hard Way . Can anyone make out what the signs that the people hold up at the end of the stunt course say? It looks like they say "Boy You" but that just doesn't make sense ;D. Wouldn't be the first time in an SMS game mind, Surely Revive Paperboy!!!

Just upped my best score a by a few thousand to 66,950. Some parts of Hard Way seem pretty impossible, there's that many obstacles in front of some of the houses that it appears to be literally impossible to deliver to them . I still think I can do better, so I'll keep on trying, should be able to reach 70,000, if not more, with a bit of fine tuning . There's six digits on the score board so maybe it's possible to reach 100,000 .

F this man, I hate this game. I really like the concept, but the angle is just atrocious. I don't know for the life of me how you mustered the patience to get that high of a score. Hard Way is the only way to beat that and it's just too frustrating to me. The gameplay is too repetitive with less variety than the NES version, though it looks much better, and the placement of enemies coupled with the angle of view is terrible. My top score is currently 26,650 but I don't know if I have any more mettle to want to play this again. I really don't like this game the more I play it.

I don't know for the life of me how you mustered the patience to get that high of a score. Hard Way is the only way to beat that and it's just too frustrating to me. Hard Way is the easiest route once you've played it a few times. As you stated in your first post in this thread, it's all about skill, patience has nothing to do with it . Once you've mastered it, it grows on you quite a lot. I wasn't keen on it either when I first started playing, but now I'm used to it, it's quite an addictive little game. The only thing that annoys me is the slowdown on Hard Way when the screen is full of moving obstacles, it gets that bad at some points that you come to a stand still .

Ouch! So is it to you possibly a matter of memorizing enemy movements? I tried to find a general safe spot to go from, and the area of grass and sidewalk right before the edge of the curb seems the best. I guess I might give it another go, just to destroy you, but man, I'd have to make it at least through a whole stinking week.

You'll have to complete it on hard to beat that score. I concentrated on working out a path that meant I could collect every bundle of papers, although one bundle is near impossible to collect after Wednesday. Then I just practised my aim to the point where I didn't need to look at the houses to deliver the papers, meaning I could concentrate on watching out for obstacles , etc. Eventually you just know where everything is . Once you know where your next bundle of papers is you can afford to waste any extras you have on smashing windows, hitting dogs/bikers, etc, all giving you extra points. Make sure to take full advantage of the stunt course too, you can build some good points up in that section. Concentrate on hitting the jumps as that refills your papers giving you more chances of hitting all the targets. I know I can beat the score, I'm concentrating on knocking grolt off the top spot on Great Ice Hockey ATM though . Keep going, once you've mastered it you'll find a new appreciation for the game .

I've been playing this game for a few days now and am pretty sure I've done the best I can with it. My highest score is: 106,490It's not a bad game at all and quite addictive once you get into it. I achieved my highest score by completing it on Hardest route. I only ended up with about 2 subscriptions left by the last day so I'm sure my score is beatable. To get new subscriptions is near impossible as you need to deliver to every house in a level. I just delivered as many as I could while breaking as many windows, hitting as many enemies and picking up as many paper bundles as I could. I did get really good at hitting the targets at the end of the level. I did find the slowdown frustrating and found throwing papers a pain sometimes as it isn't always responsive. But after memorising the levels and taking it nice and slow I eventually got the score I did.

Do you get bonus points for perfect house runs? I know in the NES version you get 1-ups. Not sure about this one because I couldn't pull it off yet.

That's an awesome score Ian . I haven't tried doing a slow run yet, that was going to be my next tactic, I like the game better when it's played at full speed .

Great choice, I really like this game. I still have the copy I bought Back In The Day™. :) My highest score so far: 56,850. I lost loads of subscriptions on the first day, but I'm sure I can do better. I'll give it another go. :) EDIT: Nope, can't beat that. Although I did equal it, which was quite surprising (I got 56,850 exactly - twice). I'll maybe give it another go next week, but I'm giving up for now. I could never seem to get new subscriptions from breaking non-subscribers' windows. I managed to break loads each time, but didn't seem to get new subscribers. Unless they're silently added to the subscribers list and I missed them, of course. EDIT 2: On hard street.
